Enjoyed an awesome dinner. Great food, great flavors, neat value for money, great variety of wines and beers. Creative menu. Enjoyed: - Baked Garlic Cheese from Brunkow Creamery - Gazpacho of tomato and water melon - Mojito Swordfish - Crème Brûlée

Decorah, Iowa is a small community in northern Iowa. Yet there is Rubaiyat, right in downtown. American cuisine made with the freshest local ingredients, served with an excellent visual presentation. Service is first-class. An unexpected, but pleasant surprise in this part of the world. Memorable. Will return again.

We made a dinner reservation based on its high TripAdvisor rating, but decided to settle in the bar for appetizers and wine. The decor and atmosphere are quite nice. The dining area is in the left half of the restaurant, while the front right half is for a bar seating 12 and 6 round high tables comfortably seating 4 or... More

This may well be Decorah's best restaurant. The loaf of cheesy bread delivered hot to the table with a knife to cut it is out of this world. All beef and pork dishes are first rate as is the wedge salad. The piña colada cake is a must. All is well priced to boot.

You can consistently expect phenomenal food at reasonable prices. 2 or 3 of the 10 most memorable meals I have ever had have been served at Rubaiyat, and I have been to 49 of the 50 United States and to 40 countries. Chef Andy will never disappoint you, and Kim runs a delightful front end.

The food is DELICIOUS. The service is AMAZING. First you get this bread that makes your mouth water just looking at it. Then we usually get the wedge salad with the most delicious dressing. If we plan ahead we only eat half our meal so we can not only have more to eat the next day BUT we still have... More

Gourmet food with flavors that will make your mouth smile! I had the seafood pasta dish -delicious! But that warm, chewy yeast bread with olive oil and Parmesan cheese? I could live the rest of my life on that alone!

Our family had an amazing dinner here, friendly efficient service. We even got to try the brand new menu items and it was so great we can't wait to come back again. Tomato Basil feta soup, salad greens with nuts and the tastiest strawberry beet vinaigrette . This restaurant is such a gem and we are very picky with food... More

The food and service were excellent, and the staff treated us with authentic kindness. We have no hesitation about driving three hours from our Madison, WI home again to visit your restaurant.
