Was looking for a place to get a good salad and got lucky finding TBG. Had the tuna salad with wasabi cream and sesame dressing. Excellent! Started with the French onion soup, which was too salty. Russell was friendly, chatty, and a great server. Would definitely return.

I'm a little late in posting this review, but I wanted to make sure I gave Thunder Bay Grille due credit for a wonderfully catered Augustana College Graduation Party Memorial Day Weekend. We reserved the upstairs Party Room for 30 guests and they were extremely accommodating. The restaurant manager was very responsive to our questions during the course of our... More

Usually the food here is good. Skip Sunday Brunch. The waffles are tasty. Everything else is bland and cold. We were there in the middle of the service, so there shouldn't have been any excuse for selections not being hot. The selections were plentiful, but more isn't always better. Make sure they don't try to charge you the adult rate... More

Thunder Bay Grille is conveniently located off the expressway and has several large, nicely decorated seating areas. Well designed menu offers variety of food including a substantial small plate (appetizer) section. I had the pork chop which was tender, moist and tastey. However, the mashed potatoes had so much salt on them, they could have been used to de-ice the... More

I looked online and found the menu for Thunder Bay Grille. Pasta Alfredo w/Chicken was listed as $11.99. This included pasta, chicken, salad and crusty bread. When I got there to pickup my bill came to over $17! The person ringing it up just said the pasta was 13.99 plus $1.99 for the chicken. She didn't seem too interested in... More

Thunder Bay was enjoyable. I had a steak and my fiance' had one of the burgers and both were good. The service was thorough. Drinks were a little slow but good options. The decor has relaxing northern lodge feel. Overall good experience

Brunch is delicious with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch selections on the buffet. Made-to-order omelets, delicious breads and pastries, desserts, salads, numerous entrees...lots of good eats and a good value. Don't wait for a special occasion, go this weekend!

I had not visited this Thunder Bay location before (ate at the one in Rockford), The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly, food was served promptly and the wait staff checked on our happiness several times. I missed getting the biscuit that came with the meal at previous locations. The price was great, but the menu shows the restaurant... More

I really like the soft chairs near the bar area. They are comfy cozy. We have eaten here many times and have not been disappointed. I like the salads. The cedar planked salmon with broccoli and sweet potato is excellent! The pasta dishes are very good. Pork chops are also good. The rolls with cinnamon butter are served warm. The relaxed quiet... Horrible service. Had to wait over an hour for our food. Out of beverages. Didn't have enough menus so we had to share. Meat was under done. Had to send it back. Don't go here, you'll starve before you get your meal and the food is marginal at best.
