I ate lunch at this place on a Friday afternoon and it was mostly empty. Service was quick and the waitress recommended a prime rib wrap. It was piping hot and delicious! The waitress came back often to check on me. She brought out the check quickly and I was out of there in a flash. I think I paid... More

My husband and I went to Thunder Bay for dinner. Service was very slow. Food was fair but very expensive.

We were impressed when we first walked in to this restaurant. The decorations were incredible! It gave the feel of a log cabin. Thunder Bay Grille specialized in "Small Plates": dishes that can be eaten as an appetizer, or combined to make an entrée. There was also flatbreads, wraps, hamburgers, pasta, and more! The food was great, and the service... More

Rolled into North-end Davenport on a cross country drive, consultedTripAdvisor, and discovered a limited food scene. Thunder Bay Grille won the coin toss and we were pleasantly surprised by the vast menu and the interior decor...North woods cabin meets hunting lodge. In the end we went with Iowa corn feed beef. It was truly a wonderful meal and the was... More

It seems whenever I am in Davenport I end up at Thunder Bay for Sunday brunch. Love that they have grits on their brunch menu- a dish not easily found near home (outside of Chicago).

Was looking for a place to get a good salad and got lucky finding TBG. Had the tuna salad with wasabi cream and sesame dressing. Excellent! Started with the French onion soup, which was too salty. Russell was friendly, chatty, and a great server. Would definitely return.

I'm a little late in posting this review, but I wanted to make sure I gave Thunder Bay Grille due credit for a wonderfully catered Augustana College Graduation Party Memorial Day Weekend. We reserved the upstairs Party Room for 30 guests and they were extremely accommodating. The restaurant manager was very responsive to our questions during the course of our... More

Usually the food here is good. Skip Sunday Brunch. The waffles are tasty. Everything else is bland and cold. We were there in the middle of the service, so there shouldn't have been any excuse for selections not being hot. The selections were plentiful, but more isn't always better. Make sure they don't try to charge you the adult rate... More

Thunder Bay Grille is conveniently located off the expressway and has several large, nicely decorated seating areas. Well designed menu offers variety of food including a substantial small plate (appetizer) section. I had the pork chop which was tender, moist and tastey. However, the mashed potatoes had so much salt on them, they could have been used to de-ice the... More

I looked online and found the menu for Thunder Bay Grille. Pasta Alfredo w/Chicken was listed as $11.99. This included pasta, chicken, salad and crusty bread. When I got there to pickup my bill came to over $17! The person ringing it up just said the pasta was 13.99 plus $1.99 for the chicken. She didn't seem too interested in... More
