You may have seen this is on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Even better live. Excellent innovative food. If you want the same old thing pass. If you are willing and have a desire to try new and interesting combinations that are generally delicious, then this is the place to try when in the area.

We, too, were steered here by Guy Fieri, and looked forward to it all day long as we crossed undifferentiated Iowa. We were not disappointed. The menu was inventive and clearly based on local availability and the chef's inspiration. Superb blackened catfish, interesting choice of sides, and something new to taste for dessert. Not a good choice for people who... More

My mom & I went for lunch today. No wait and no more menu on the wall. Huge amount of options from an all day breakfast menu to Mexican and southern dishes. I had the crabcake appetizer with a side of collard greens. The crabcake was huge (think 2 on top of each other) and the greens were a little... More

We stopped in here after seeing the review on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and we loved it! Lots of items to choose from. We think menu changes because it was just written on a big chalk board We had bow-tie pasta and the catfish dinner. Both were excellent. Reasonable prices and good food quality. Don't eat too much becasue you... More

I have been to Dixie Quicks twice now, once ordered a steak, an omelet this time. Both were of average quality. Steak was okay but the omelet was not good. Essentially it was unseasoned eggs thrown over stew. I'm one that doesn't like the cryptic menu, you have to ask what in the world each menu item is, and then... More

It has atmosphere, good food and nice staff, but a huge draw back is if you are on a time frame as many of us our at lunch, don't expect to be in and out in a timely manner.

I am finishing the letovers from my visit and still find this meal very satisfying. Can't put my finger on it, but something is missing. (Maybe just not so overly salty as some places-that would be a bonus). Tried each of the desserts, pecan pie wins. They are good but not good enough to eat while full-again just something missing.... Dixie Quicks has consistently good food, fresh, and may be the only place in Council Bluffs where you can get an omelette stuffed with poached salmon, capers and goat cheese! Tasty. Good food with a southern twist--grits are one option of a side. Note it is closed on Monday!

We saw this restaurant had been on DDD, so we decided to give it a try...even against some of the bad reviews Dixie's had received on a DDD app. We were delighted to see that those reviews were wrong. We liked the menu written on the chalk board...nice change to the normal blah blah blah menu's. Our server Thai was... More

Saw the restaurant mentioned on Guy Fieri's website. Great, fresh food- enjoyed the crab cakes, black bean quesadilla, Nice atmosphere too.
