Dixie quicks serves the best breakfast in town. We enjoyed their omelets, french toast and other delights. they have a gallery next door to pass some time while waiting far a table.

this is a great place for lunch and dinner in Council Bluffs - this business moved over here from Omaha where it had and still has quite a following - believe they were featured a few years back on national TV (Diner ,Drive Ins and Dives ) or something similar - they feature a daily menu hand written on chalk... The service was terrible. My wife bought some items from the gift shop, while waiting for more than an hour after the reservation time. They placed the items in a bag and she paid for them. Later: A very rude counter person looked at her later and said "Did you pay for that?", it was one of the worst experiences... More

Very nice atmosphere and excellent food and service. The menu includes some off-beat items for the midwest like collard greens (delicious), black eyed pease and other southern cooking. Their brunch is the best!

The decor is interesting and open to an art gallery. The menu is an experience of it's own! The food tasted wonderful. The greeting and service made me feel like a treasured guest.

Wouldn't go back. Diners, Drive ins and Dives went to their heads. Neither a diner, nor a drive in nor a dive...not sure why Guy even visited them. Place was empty at 5:00 and the host looked down his nose at us and said 'Do you have a reservation (No). Well, I'll see if there's a place I can seat... More

Take good food that you could make at home, give it a special twist, and realize you're eating, wow, really tasty food! That's the way it is at Dixie Quicks. The seasonings and different additions to comfort dishes make you savor each bite. The blackened catfish was wonderful;my picadillo de asada (Mexican stew) was great on a cold night; the... More

We ordered the Texas pepper steak since this was our first time here, and we had seen it featured on TV. (You can watch it yourself on the restaurant's web site). The steak was maybe a tad more rare than ordered (medium rare) but was tender and delicious, and about an inch thick. The sauce has just a bit of... More

My brother randomly found this place while I was visiting him and attending a CrossFit competition this weekend and I already can't wait to go back. The menu was awesome, the staff was super friendly and engaged, and the eclectic style and gallery/vintage flair is just plain neat. I hope I get time to browse next time. Service was fast... More

I really wanted to like Dixie Quicks. I'd heard a lot about it. It's a quirky atmosphere with a lot of buzz. But it was a huge disappointment. The service was very poor. Once seated, we waited at least ten minutes for any sign of a server. After we placed our order, we waited at least 30 minutes for our... More
