The food was good as I recall, but the pie really made an impression. The place has a bakery attached, and man oh man, they does pies right. The lemon meringue pie was the best I have ever had. Also bought a sticky roll to go, and it was excellent too.

My wife and I had breakfast at this Perkins on our recent trip to Coralville. It was close to our hotel and we had risen too late for the "free" breakfast. we both ordered the Mediterranean omelet. This is an omelet with spinach, feta, and roasted tomatoes, topped with hollandaise. When our plates came out, the omelets looked small, but... More

Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Wait staff was exceptional, responsive and very accommodating to gluten free needs. They have separate gf menu and when kitchen messed up did not fuss about remaking plate. Even have a separate grill for gf so they understand importance. Very good experience!! Definitely a great stop for brunch

During our recent visit to Iowa City, we ate breakfast at Perkins. I had the new menu item yogurt parfait with apples and granola topping, eggs, bacon, apple muffin. It was delicious but the best part of the meal was our waiter Cody. We had 4 children with four of us adults. He was very attentive, patient, and accommodating for... More

Met my 84 year old aunt for breakfast on a quick stop in Iowa City. Seated quickly, waiter was very attentive, food came out quickly and hot. Very nice visit. Would recommend.

Buy one Get one on the muffins helped make it easier to drop off my three college kids with their little take out bags. It reminded me of when they were little and took a bagged lunch each day. The breakfast was fresh, hot and yummyso we're glad Perkins is in Iowa!

Food was great. The waiter was over the top obnoxious. Attempting to appear flamboyant but really just came off as a rude jerk. Cut us and other customers off in mid-sentence. Scolded us multiple times for asking simple questions. Really a rude guy. Good food and really prepped well. Sorry you have to have this dude working for you.

We ate there twice in one day, breakfast and then again for dinner. Both times, service was very slow and it took forever to get our food. But it was worth it. They were very accomodating and it was great. Even lucked out it was kids eat free with a paying adult that night so we saved some money!
