Yesterday, my wife and I and our daughter & son-in-law went to Sunday Brunch at the Iowa River Power Co Restaurant in Iowa City. Ambience fabulous, food, oustanding, Beautiful Day, blue skies, Bald Eagles swooping down and fishing for their own brunch and we must have had the best view "in the house" right on the river. We had made... More

We went for brunch and we really enjoyed. There were varieties of food and the quality was so good. And the view of the river was awesome. We even took a walk a bit around after the brunch. I really cannot comment about the price as I wasn't the one who paid, but I really enjoyed the food and the... More

The food was well-prepared and delivered in a timely manner. The pork chop ordered by a fellow-dinner was very tough, but everything else was very enjoyable. The service was pleasant and accomadating.

Having witnessed high water in the nearby Des Moines area, we noticed the water was extra active at this dam in Coralville. Having just opened a new river walk at this site, lots of residents were out enjoying the bike trail, bridge, and sunset scenery. We first had drinks and onion rings and our dinner was shrimp for me and... More

Visited this Iowa restaurant, a landmark for the area, with great décor and interesting past. Surprised by the prices but figured I'd get an outstanding meal. Had the tomato artichoke soup to start and it was barely warm but OK. Ordered the sirloin steak and rice pilaf. Rice pilaf not very good and steak was very tough. Should not have... More

We were in Iowa last week for the Junior Olympics. My better half wanted a good steak, so we scoped out a few restaurants that were recommended. IRPCR had a beautiful view overlooking the river, and the atmosphere was nice. We had a large group, which they accommodated, no problem. The prices were higher than we'd hoped, but figured the... Went for Sunday brunch with our family~ we all agreed it was the best brunch we have ever had. The selection was good, and the food was hot and very flavorful !! To top it off, the desserts were to die for! Definitely worth the money~

We stayed in Coralville on our way up to Minnesota. This restaurant was near our hotel, so we gave it a try. What a neat place! We loved the old style decor, and the big windows to see the river and dam. There is a really enjoyable path you can walk or ride your bike on across the dam also.... More

I have eaten here many times over the past 15 or so years. I will not again. Bad enough that my medium rare rib eye came so well-done and dried out that it was impossible to swallow. I almost never send something back but had no choice here. The replacement was at least a little pink inside though far beyond... More

With the high tides of flooding, I made my way to see the great view at the Iowa Rover Power Company Restaurant. There was plenty of guest parking and good signage getting me to the restaurant (not to be mixed up with Flannigans). The hostess sat me right next to the water with a view of the dam--prime location! (And... More
