Cosi Cuncina has been a locally owned italian restaurant for many years. The food is out standing and the price is not out of line. If you enjoy a cozy atmosphere with a small fireplace and low lighting give this place a try.....also the service is great!

Excellent service! Fun & very attentive! We all three had the Ribeye, raised right here in Iowa, it melted in our mouths! Served with an exquisite sauce, it is simply the BEST steak I have had in years. We called and made reservation 45 minutes before we got there. Very accommodating! My son has already made a trip back and... More

We took advantage of a groupon because we were curious to see if the new owners changed anything about this restaurant. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was there for every need, but was not intrusive at all. Our calamari was in large, tender strips and came with a seasoned mayonaisse type dip. My husband had the spicy seafood linquinni... More

This was a family favorite when in the Des Moines area. I guess the #2 Outback will move into the #1 slot for us. I give it a terrible rating only because it is closing. We really enjoyed the food and they had a few really attentive waiters.

My husband and try to make it here at least once a month. We no longer even look at the menu. We both always order the Ziti, because it is so sooo good! The calamari and the toasted ravioli are our favorite appetizers. Couldn't tell you about any dessert recommendations though, I'm always too full. They could use an interior... More

We eat here every time we are in Des Moines. It is an out of the way place (the "front" door is actually in the back of the building) where you are treated very well by the attentive staff. I usually get the spicy seafood pasta and am never disappointed. The red sauce has a kick to it that compliments... More

This is a hidden away little Italian place with delicious food. This was the first time we had eaten here and we were happy with this place. The warm bread at the start of the evening was delicious and all 4 of us were happy with our food. We even had the chocolate dessert with ice cream and it was... More

Cosi Cucina used to be my mom's favorite restaurant. When I saw a Groupon deal for this restaurant I pounced on it as a way to celebrate her birthday. However, when I told her that we wanted to take her out to Cosi Cucina she frowned and said they had changed the menu and she didn't like it any more... More

Cosi Cucina is a local favorite that has undergone some great improvements over the past few years. Their menu is expanded and more interesting than the common Des Moines Italian-American restaurants. Eg, snapper and beurre blanc with risotto. They have a good wine list and pay attention to details - like the fresh bread, and quality balsamic vinegar. Our server,... More

The food was great. Started with caprise; the fresh mozzerilla was firm and creamy. The bread rolls were light and tasty. I had a chicken, sudried tomatos and penne pasta. My wife had the lobster and bowtie pasta. The only miss was the apple cake, it was recommened by my server. Ive been going here since it's opened, one bad... More
