You can never go wrong with the Chicken George but the grilled Prime Rib is out of this world! Joining the Candlelight Gives Back is a worth while investment! You pay $25 up front. Then after 3 visits, they donate your $25 to the charity of your choice and give you $25 credit! Then you earn $25 credit for every... More

Chicken George with Jan sauce(Excellent) Real chicken tenders, not McNuggets, cooked in peanut oil. I've had fish and prime rib also. I have yet to have a disappointing meal at any of the 3 Candlelights, Clinton IA (on the river and the newest), Rockfalls IL (just off I-88), and Sterling IL (shaped like an old barn, but nice inside decorated... We scored a window table at lunch...nice view....inexperienced server was pleasant, but not very helpful or skilled in service. Food was ho hum at best....Moderately expensive for this quality food. I see another review suggests a drink and eating elsewhere...good advice.

Have been here several times with my wife and family and although the food isn't gourmet quality, it's very solid family/American dining and I can't remember being disappointed here. Set next toa marina, there are inside and outside tables with a nice view of the river. Inside is mostly traditional booths and tables with a nautical motif. Menu pretty standard... More

We finally made it to this location. We were pleasantly surprised of the location to the Mississippi River & the 180* view of the river. The meals are the same as the Sterling & Rock Falls locations. There are several large round tables for bigger groups. Check it out!

I would classify my visit on 8-18-14 as a little above average. The food wasn't excellent, but wasn't bad either. The staff was friendly and courteous, but didn't go out of their way to make us feel like we were well taken care of. So over all, I'd say it wasn't memorable - either in a good way or a... More

Went there two nights in a row with a large family group. It is right on the Mississippi river - has outside seating and a great patio. Amazing views. Drinks were strong and cheap. Food was fried and good in all those non-healthy ways. Loved the fried pickles!

This ought to be a great place to eat: a nice patio overlooking a marina on the Mississippi River. The servers are nice, the drinks are certainly good -- and generously poured. But then the food. My "12 ounce" steak was one of the smallest I've seen, and it was barely 1/2 inch thick. Eight ounces at best. First one... More
