We had the opportunity to try this restaurant out for lunch and we had wanted to do so ever since seeing this rated as the #1 restaurant in Cedar Rapids. Perhaps we were expecting too much based on the reviews but we were not as impressed as others. The food was good (we ordered sandwiches) with the bread being the... More

A very unique and wonderful place in Cedar Rapids, IA. I have been there several times for lunch with friends. Daily specials are unique and have a French flair. I had Beef Bourguignon the last time I was there and it was exquisite. Pastries are amazing.

I had lunch today for the first time in several months and the food was wonderful, as usual. The quiche was creamy with a flakey crust and the lobster bisque delicious. Luckily I had called in earlier in the morning to have them set aside the last four eclairs or I wouldn't have been able to bring them home to... More

The quiches are light and delicious, soups tasty, the salads dressed with a judicious hand, and the pastries, oooh la la! This casual yet bright little spot reminds me of so many little bistros in France where the food is delicious and unpretentious. Yes, you must place your order at a counter when you walk in but it is all... More

Just kidding about the doctor's orders, however this was a great place to relax and have a great lunch after my appointment. My wife had a great beet salad (she shared) and I had the best creamy crab soup ever, with half a sandwich. We have never been disappointed with a meal here and have more than once met a... More

So good. I am from the area so whenever we get a chance for a girls day we go. Everytime I have a had a wonderful experience. Delicious french cuisine in a cute and cozy atmosphere with great friends. I highly recommend the fruit tart for dessert. If you are lucky enough to come on an asparagus soup du jour... More

We have been a regular visitor to this cafe since it started in 2004 in Cedar Rapids, IA. We have never been disappointed with food and service. The pastries and croissants are mouth watering and have been a regular staple for our house guests from all over the world. They were all amazed to taste such nice French pastries in... More

This little gem is amazing! Lucky for me, it's a 5 minute drive from my house too! The pastries, the tarts, the mousse--fabulous! And the lobster bisque? Some of the best I've ever had! The place is clean and friendly, and I love the variety of things to eat...so very French cafe! A definite stop if you are in the... More

This is a fun little restaurant and bakery hidden away on the East side of town. Order at the counter, but tables with tablecloths and cloth napkins. It would be the perfect place to take little girls for a fancy princess lunch. The bakery items are so pretty and reasonably priced.

Charming little bisto-ish spot - fantastic soups. Generous just right portions. Good salads. Never disappoints.
