Unique Experience an Educational Restaurant

Great atmosphere and food is very good but a little expensive. Part of the community college to train chefs and hospitality students so great service.

I ate here for both lunch and dinner. At lunch the service was a little slow, but the food was so good that we decided we wanted to return for dinner. It is elegant but yet casual. The tomato soup was some of the best I have had! The Pork, Apples and Beer was an excellent choice. The pork chops... More

Had Father's Day dinner at the restaurant and its name says it all. The restaurant is part of a culinary institute with students doing the cooking and serving. I always try to experience these when I travel as I am never disappointed. Our server Marcie provided an excellent description of the specials of the day and I had to try... More

I had the scallops one night (I was concerned about ordering scallops in Iowa, but the server assured me they were fresh and good). They were outstanding, as were the sides. Ordered a filet the next night which was also very yummy. They do a fantastic job there, and the service was great, too.

The waiter had some great recommendations. Thanks Zac. The curry seafood soup was outstanding as was the pork chop and the vanilla mousse desert.

We have eaten at The Class Act on a few occasions and while never bad, not always great. We attended a Seafood night which was very good, however a bit pricey. Lunch is awesome. We have also attended two brunches which were good, but again a bit over priced. Staff is always friendly.

My brother and I took Mom to your Mother's Day Brunch yesterday. We had heard great things from others and were expecting over-the-top food and service, but we were extremely disappointed! I would rate the food as mediocre at best and the service was poor. The buffet was disorganized with different foods in different locations far apart and the majority... More

This restaurant is an offshoot of kirkland college. It use to be on the main campus and was run by the students. Now its part of the hotel and it still has students, but it acts like a real restaurant. Sadly the days of dining like royalty for under $10 are gone. The food is still awesome but now a bit...
