If you need a Gyro, give it a go

A co-worker and I had takeaway Gyros from here last week that were pretty OK. Plenty of meat, the meat was pretty good quality and taste. Pita was fresh. The sauce was plentiful, in fact I would have asked for a bit less or get it on the side as it gets very messy. Get plenty of napkins. They... read more

I have eaten here many times in the past but never had the chance to sit down and write about it and tell you all about my food experiences prior to this format. The food here cannot be beat. Most of it is made on-site and prepared fresh daily. I have tried nearly all their menu and I hope you... More

This place needs a massive cleaning. The cobwebs hang down ready to drop in the food. It used to be such a great place and the food was delicious but that was ten years ago. Now I walked in and walked back out.

Awesome gyros and they cut their own fries--good stuff! He owner is crabby, but he adds to the charm of the restaurant. Great local eatery!!

Food is cooked as you order and fries are hand cut as opposed to a package! Prices are reasonable. Decor leaves a bit to be desired-but you are there for the food!

If you miss the Flying Wienie you missed Cedar Rapids! God looks down with favor on this place because in the 500 year flood of 2008 the water didn't touch it! The owner, John, makes your dining experience unforgetable. Come have a gyro, Chicago dog, or ribs! Your kids will love the place!

I found this place on trip advisor and had to GPS over on a recent trip through Iowa. Great ambience, great food. It was worth the drive, we loved it!!

I eat at the Wienie once or twice a month. They make their own brats, Italian sausage plus other items. The brats & sausage come on a 6 inch hot dog bun and hang over the ends by about 3 inches. It is not the biggest place so get there early during the lunch hour. There will be lines but... More
