Zins design is warm, welcoming, sophisticated. We bring you quality and creative food, different yet familiar, via the small-plates concept. Our state-of-the-art wine dispensing equipment allows us to offer twenty wines-by-the-glass. Our bottled-wine list is value-laden. Our beer list is compact but clever. Our mixologists enjoy crafting your drink, creative or classic, every bit as much as our culinary staff enjoys preparing your food.

Stopped By for a Drink

Loved the atmosphere. Had a Jameson and Ginger. Then decided to go for dessert. Why not something new? St. Louis Butter Cake with rum cherries. Holy Buckets!!! It's worth the stop!

We went as a group of 10 for dinner. Service was good. Good was good. Atmosphere is nice. The menu is small plates on one side and large plates(more typical ente size). I had a berry and spinach salad and a flat bread. It was quite enough for dinner. I'd go back and it's certainly worth a try.

The floor creaked and sagged dangerously underfoot, giving pause to the clean, modestly pretentious decor. The calimari was greasy and tasted of stale oil. I sent it back. The pasta was mediocre. The lamb lollipops were 2/3rds great. The third one was raw. Not undercooked. Raw. Unforgivable from a place with these prices. Avoid. There are better dining choices. Yes,... More

Zins can do many things well, and one of their best innovative ideas is to offer a rest spot and an early morning Bloody Mary for the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market crowd. Nice job! The small plate dinners and wine pairings are nice too. I do think they are bit expensive on dinner.

This is a tapas-style of restaurant, so you get to order several small plates of different things. The menu is always changing, but customers' favorites tend to stick. Great place to go for special occasions, as well as for client/work related outings. Wish we could afford to go there more often!

We have eaten here several times and always enjoy the food. But service is so slow. I'm talking, you need to plan a couple hours for dinner. The staff is great to ask if you are going to a show so that they can speed up the food service or recommend things that don't take too long. It took over... More

This place is a very fun place to come grab drinks and apps with some friends. A very friendly environment. The food is good and the prices are pretty reasonable.

I happened upon Zin's on a business trip and found a classy restaurant in downtown Cedar Rapids. The restaurant has a young, yet attentive professional staff, catering to every detail of our wonderful experience there. We began with champagne at the Bar served by Braxton one night and Spencer on the other. A nice selection of wines and the food... More

I've read the reviews and decided to try it out. I like "small plates", I like an atmosphere. They accomplished the latter, not the former. Small plates does not mean take average food and package it as smaller portions and advertise it as special. The food was average at best , nothing special at all. I liked the atmosphere and...
