Zins design is warm, welcoming, sophisticated. We bring you quality and creative food, different yet familiar, via the small-plates concept. Our state-of-the-art wine dispensing equipment allows us to offer twenty wines-by-the-glass. Our bottled-wine list is value-laden. Our beer list is compact but clever. Our mixologists enjoy crafting your drink, creative or classic, every bit as much as our culinary staff enjoys preparing your food.

I loved many things about this restaurant - inexpensive, beautiful decor, excellent service, no reservations/no problem. I really enjoyed the calamari, the rest of the food we ordered was just fine (beet & house salads, lamb lollipops) but nothing special. I would go back here because of all the... read more

Hands down, the best restaurant and bar in Cedar Rapids. They are so far ahead of any other place around, you don't even need to waste your time eating anywhere else. I prefer to sit at the bar and see the action, but you can sit in the dining room if you want a waiter to serve you. The menu... More

I love Zins and make it a point to dine here every time I am in Cedar Rapids. Zins has an excellent selection of wine, with many great choices by the glass. If wine isn't your thing, they serve wonderful cocktails too. Their Cotulla Margarita is the best margarita I've ever had! Seriously! The bar has great snack offerings if... More

Love tapas! Have been to several tapas type eateries and none have had such small portions for price. Service from bar was very slow with only one bartender on a busy weekend evening!

I have been to Zin's several times in the past year. The food is nice, the servers are friendly. My only complaint is the under-staffing, which leads to very long wait times for orders to be taken, meals served, checks processed. The last two times we went to Zin's for lunch we were definitely not in and out in under... More

We loved the food- very fresh, delicious, flavorful, and presented artfully! Our waiter was very friendly, but not very attentive- we ordered steak and had no knives to cut it. Later ordered bread pudding and had no utensils to eat it with. The drinks were tasty, but I felt odd about being given drink ingredients to assemble my own mixed... More

We chose to try the restaurant because they sent out requests on social media stating they were in need of customers or the business may close. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday evening. The hostess did not look up at us as she asked if we had a reservation. We did not. I was surprised when she said she... More

Janel, It is always hard to hear from unsatisfied guests. However, we are happy to have the chance to respond. It is clear that we not only fell short of your expectations of service, but ours as well. Honestly we were unprepared for the overwhelming and fast response we received from our Facebook post. We had expected to increase the... More

A little expensive but very worthwhile. Good wine selection, good food and cozy ambient. Kind of place you take anyone you want to impress.

Hmmm... I'm genuinely perplexed by this restaurant. They seem to want to be a fine dining experience. The food is generally excellent and a cut above other choices. The prices will reflect this. The atmosphere is a nice mixture of modern, and old. It's a nice place for a date, or a celebration. There is a table where you can... More

This restaurant is very pleasant--modern decor inside an old building in downtown CR. Service was very good and courses nicely spaced, unlike some of the other recent reviews. Then again, we were there for brunch and the place was only half full. Highlights of the meal were a LaQuercia prosciutto salad and the calamari, which was lightly breaded, done just... More
