Description: Once seated in the restaurant, your view changes as the seasons change...
Once seated in the restaurant, your view changes as the seasons change. Winter brings eagles soaring as they search the icy Mississippi for the fresh catch of the day. In the Summer the river becomes alive with casual and commercial traffic. The historic background of this quaint river town is captured in the memorabilia and pictures that adorn the walls. The restaurant has been a landmark for two decades offering casual to formal dining attracting patrons both local and visiting tourist from other countries. We have a casual family friendly environment. Serving lunch and dinner as well as drinks at the bar. We are great for groups! Walk in or make a reservation and when the weather permits, choose to sit in side or out. Dine in, carry out or we will cater! Whatever the occasion - Big Muddy's is the place!!

Fun bar and restaurant under the bridge

This is a fun restaurant and bar underneath the bridge crossing the Mississippi River. Good appetizers, sandwiches, and a great bar.

Right on the river, this restaurant has great views! The salad bar is yummy and fresh. The food is very reasonably priced and excellent.

Food and atmosphere are good. The only restaurant in Burlington that sits right on the river and has a great view of the bridge.

Good eats, good service, great view of the Mississippi. Good accommodation for my special diet (gluten free) and favorable to babies. (Met my first grandson here!)

You have a great river view here. We have been kind of disappointed in the food. The ribs are good, but the rest has been kind of average to below.

Once we ordered drinks it took almost 20 minutes to get them. Once we ordered the food it was overpriced and food was very average.

The atmosphere and location of Big Muddy's is great, but I had the buffet on Sunday evening. Some of it was good but some of it had obviously been sitting out for some time (the ribs were hard and dry). I would suggest ordering something off the the menu. I was disappointed that the person waiting on our table knew... More
