Love the Volcano!

This was my second time to Ross'. The first time a couple years ago I had a Magic Mountain and this time I went with the Volcano. The Volcano is Texas toast covered with loose cooked hamburger, crinkle fries, chili, and cheese sauce. It is a mound of food. I also added "snow" on top which is... read more

Whether you are in the area for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late night snack, you have to stop by Ross'! They have the best food which includes locally grown vegetables! Pass up the local chain restaurants and stop here!!

I had recently read an article of Alton Brown's 10 all-American local favorites, and Ross's Restaurant was on the list. We were driving from IL to Iowa Speedway, and figured since we were driving through the quad-cities, why not give it a try? This iconic 24-hour diner has been around since 1938, and has been a must-stop destination for Presidents... More

Despite all the construction going on around it, Ross' is still open and still as tasty as ever. I prefer it for breakfast, going with either the Magic Mountain Breakfast, or a simple eggs and toast option for a little lighter.

We love Ross' and the all the staff. The food is great and they now have a wonderful variety. Want to go Paleo...no problem, Vegetarian...yep, those too. It's a diner that keeps up with the modern diner clientele. You must try a Magic Mountain or one of the dinner plate cinnamon rolls...Yummy!

The food was great! It was very busy, but fun! The price was very reasonable. We would return the next time we are in town.

Ross' shows its age in dingy walls, dim lighting, worn-out furniture, very uneven service, an uninspired menu, and average to poor food. AAA loved this place, but it was an extreme disappointment for us. There are man y far better alternatives out there...find them and go to them! Don't be disappointed here!

We wanted to stop at the diner before it moved to its new location to take in the decor and sample a couple of its signature dishes. Our waitress was friendly and gave us extra time to read the menu while answering our questions. The diner is located at the foot of the I74 bridge with a view of the... More

Friendly staff and satisfied your drink needs. Menu is very Midwest comfort food. Try the Volcano. It is their specialty with a variety of versions. Prices are right for this diner. They will be moving soon to make way for a new bridge across the Mississippi. They will be on 53rd and 18th streets in Bettendorf. Good parking.

Son in law suggested Ross' for dinner as he is a local so we went. Hubby had a very good chicken Parmesan, son in law had super chili dog and fries that covered a dinner plate, daughter had Ross loose meat burger basket and I had the butter croissant burger. Grandson had a really big whole grain pancake. Fast friendly... More
