Nice local diner

Friendly staff and satisfied your drink needs. Menu is very Midwest comfort food. Try the Volcano. It is their specialty with a variety of versions. Prices are right for this diner. They will be moving soon to make way for a new bridge across the Mississippi. They will be on 53rd and 18th streets... read more

We wanted to stop at the diner before it moved to its new location to take in the decor and sample a couple of its signature dishes. Our waitress was friendly and gave us extra time to read the menu while answering our questions. The diner is located at the foot of the I74 bridge with a view of the... More

Son in law suggested Ross' for dinner as he is a local so we went. Hubby had a very good chicken Parmesan, son in law had super chili dog and fries that covered a dinner plate, daughter had Ross loose meat burger basket and I had the butter croissant burger. Grandson had a really big whole grain pancake. Fast friendly... More

Of course it is the only late night food I've had, but it was a great time regardless. Atmosphere has that classic diner feel. Staff was very hospitable. Food was tasty, be sure to try the Breakfast Mountain with gravy, if you consider yourself a gravy aficianado. My buddy had the Magic Mountain, which is a mountain of food. Blueberry... More

I used to go to Ross' with my dad over 50 years ago. I have never been a regular but stopped by from time to time over the years and have never understood the appeal. I never considered the food or atmosphere to be anything but average. I made a stop last week before their move just to revisit one... More

I love this place. This is a classic Midwest dinner that is so hard to find now. Just like the Route66 diners we did on our big trip.

Thanks to Siri we were in need of a good place to eat and she guided us to Ross. What a cool place with tasty food. Amazing cinnamon rolls as big as your head. Great farm fresh eggs served hot and fast. So cool to hear that Ross started in Peoria. If you are near Betindorff and hungry do yourself... More

Presidents have eaten here. They use fresh beef for their burgers. They use farm fresh eggs at breakfast. If you like the old American Diner experience this is the place for you. They have the Magic Mountain: Texas toast topped with fries, ground beef, raw onions, and cheese sauce, it's not health food, but it is good. They also have... More

This is a classic for the area! This place has been around for a long while. The service is wonderful. This place is a true dinner. You will not be harassed by the staff in order to turn over the tables. If you need something, simply flag down the waiter/waitress (or one will stop by to inquire on your table... More

We stopped here for a quick breakfast and ended up chatting for an hour. They offer a wide variety 24 hours a day that includes vegan and gluten free! The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are moderate to large. You can tell this is a third generation restaurant as photos and staff are happy to reminisce. They will... More
