We have been here twice and the food has been excellent both times. The place is fairly small and very casual but the place was full both times we were there. The portions are huge, maybe a little too big, but that would be the only complaint if I had one. Definitely recommend this place for great food at a... More

Every time we visit family in Valpo, we make a stop here. Good, fast Mexican food at reasonable prices. Never a complaint.

El Amigo in Valparaiso, In. brings great food to anyone who goes there, whether to eat in or take out. It's a great late night stop after a long day. I'd recommend this restaurant to people who want AUTHENTIC Mexican food.

Best Chilles Reneros ever! Better than any other I've tried through the years. Don't expect fancy but the food is very good.

Your standard Mexican food restaurant in America. It's had good, standard Mexican food that was great for takeout. I would return.

We enjoy the unbelievable food coupled with fast, friendly service and affordable prices. There are no "bells and whistles" about El Amigo - what you see is what you get; great, authentic Mexican food at a delicious price.

I do not tire of the meals. This time I had the Tostada Dinner. What a treat. Loaded with your choice of bean, steak, or chicken. The avocado slices are the best. I frequent at least twice a month. Service is always very good. If you are looking for the best in Valparaiso look no further. Great menu, very casual... More

My husband & I both enjoy eating at El Amigo. It is not a fancy place at all, very bare bones, but the food is the most authentic Valparaiso has to offer. We generally get the chile rellenos, steak tacos, chile chilaquiles or burritos (which are huge). Their prices are very resonable.

Always a great experience with the food and always a good value. But my family always says to get the food for take out. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. The seating area is loud and somewhat uncomfortable. You go to El Amigo for the food and the value, just eat it at home!

The avocado burrito is my go-to favorite. The chips and salsa are to die for. If they had a couple benches outside in front with some flower containers this place would be awesome in summer. The service is always fast. There may be a lot of people waiting for their take out and lined up at the register to pay,... More
