A delicious meal for appetizers to dessert. We went with another couple and all 4 of us enjoyed every bite. We all had different dishes and shared them. Everything was wonderful. Many Spanish dishes we had never tried before. We can all hardly wait to go back. We are also sorry we didn't dine here before.

I love Spanish affair and tapas. I was most disappointed at dinner last night. My paella was tasteless and my wife's pork skewer was dry and overlooked. This place has been a benchmark for years. I feel they are living on their past laurels. My wife had never been their before. Will not be going back. Tapas Cafe in Merrillville... More

Jessica was the perfect server for our romantic dinner. She recommended the perfect choices that we enjoyed. We loved the combo appitizer. We hope to come back again soon.

If you are looking for a change from the normal try this. Located in downtown Valpo and the owner will even make sure you are satisfied. I am not shy about trying new selections and the options are a real taste bud sensation. My choice was a paella. Price a little above the average. Enoy

You'll always be greeted and treated warmly in this fine Spanish restaurant and the food is lovingly made and authentic. In fact, it's often much better than we've eaten inn Spain.

We decided to try this restuarant on a whim and were so glad we tried it. The food and service were terrific. Jessica was so friendly and explained all the dishes so well and answered all our questions. We ended up trying the appitizer combo and the dinner combo so that we could try more items. So glad we did... More

You will feel a part of the family here! The food is delightful (a bit expensive) and authentic (I've been told - never had the pleasure of being in Spain). The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and served properly. Save your $ and make it a night - you won't be disappointed.

Attended a Sunday evening dinner with Flamenco dancing as entertainment at Don Quijote's and it was wonderful. From the ambience of the restaurant, the aura of the music and dance of the Flamenco, and the graciousness of the host (Carlos) and hostess (Elena) it was a well worth event. The staff was very friendly and polite. Our meals were very... More

Were we greeted warmly and promptly attended to by our server. If you order a drink such as sangria, be aware that a "glass" really is two! My combination plate and my companion's pork skewers were very, very delicious. Prices were fair. And plenty of desserts to choose from. If you are anywhere in the area, stop by for something... The owners Carlos Rivero and Elena Jambrina bring a taste of authentic Spanish food to Valparaiso. The menu offers a wide variety of selections: pork, beef, lamb, chicken, seafood or vegetarian. Everything is prepared from scratch, including the desserts. The restaurant is comfortable and service is attentive. I highly recommend Don Quijote and look forward to my next visit.
