A friend treated me to dinner at this place a few evenings ago. I've been here before and just love the atmosphere and the food. The venue is tastefully decorated. I stopped in here with some family for 4th of July. The food and service were both outstanding! I am glad to have such a good quality meal and drinks in downtown Valpo.

This place has been around forever in Valpo. I went here in high school as a field trip and now I enjoy visits as an adult. the traditional Spanish (not Mexican) food is delicious. I love the paella. And the owners are so nice. They are always there and will converse with the patrons. They may even throw in drink... More

My wife and I and our family and friends have been going to don Quijote for many years. They've been a special place for special occasions. Our daughter was even married there, Excellent food, excellent service, excellent entertainment, and a fantastic community supporter with numerous fund raisers for various charities throughout the years. Never have we been disappointed in our... More

After visiting Barcelona - we enjoy coming here and sharing a pitcher of sangria and some tapas. The owner is friendly and visits your table.

Since Valpo is a very small town, there are not many options for food. Don Quijote is one of the nicer restaurants in Valpo (in my opinion). However, this place is over priced for what it is....I have lived in a very big city with more than +500 Spanish restaurant options, so I might not be an easy judge. Sangria... More

A great place to treat your taste buds to the variety of authentic Spanish tapas. Tapas range from about $7 to $12 and are presented in a manner that is designed for sharing. We usually order a pitcher of Sangria and six or more tapas for the table. I've tried each of the twenty-five of so choices and enjoyed them... More

Waitress very friendly and helpful. Had visited Spain a couple months ago and was curious how it would compare. Was excellent. You would not know you were not in Spain. Tried several dishes and all held up well. Talked briefly to one of the owners and she was very friendly and informative about their restaurant. Well worth a visit and... More

The food here is incredible, with rich deep flavors and quality ingredients. There is a great variety on the menu; there is a tapas menu and also a selection of regular-size meals. Before our meal, we had bread with garlic butter, and an appetizer of marinated potatoes/onions/peppers which was amazing. The bread was nice and soft with a perfectly crispy... More
