This is a favorite restaurant in Valparaiso, even though I don't get to eat out much. As a vegetarian, I am more limited on the menu choices, but Carlos makes a mean veg paella! You just have to ask for it. The Portuguese salad and gazpacho are other favorites. Great food, great wine, and hospitality second to none. The proprietor... More

Its Spanish not Mexican, so don't think tacos. Very flavorful food and variety. Carlos (owner) is first class human being. Visits with everyone in his restaurant like old friends.feels like you travelled far but yet close to home.

It seems like we ended up trying nearly the whole tapas menu. Good tapas is hard to come and this was good tapas. The service is welcoming and the ambience relaxed. A definite Indiana Dunes must do.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant, our experience was top notch, beyond what we ever expected. Recommended by owners of the bed and breakfast that we stayed at. My husband had the pan-fried sea bass and it was amazing. The flan was TO DIE FOR. And the port dessert wine afterwards just topped off what will be one... More

When you enter the restaurant the murals make it look like a Spanish Courtyard with lovely set tables and background music. We arrived early (3AM) so we sat down and ordered a half pitcher of limonata (white sangria with lemon-lime and peaches) which was very good. My wife wanted to try the tapas, so she ordered the Empanada (very good)... More

This place is amazing from the ambience to the food. It has an old chicago feel to it. The owner comes out and mingles with the guest and the food is great. The appetizers are great and the main meals. I have been eating here for years and the only complaint I have is that I eat too much great... More

I've eaten here many times. Everything was excellent & consistent. I like the idea that the owners, not just the service people ask how the meal is. Very tasty Sherry to finish the night.

Went with a large party to Don Quijote. The tapas was great, the sangria better, and and the service even better. We were treated to complimentary port by the chef/owner who was charming. I live in Illinois but want to come back just to eat.

Great time, great service, owner came out and thanked us for our business and gave us some port to enjoy! We ordered many tapas to pass squid, potato salad, olives, all great! Sea bass, swordfish, crab legs, steaks all wonderful with a Spanish touch! Flan, pear in wine, and few other desserts all outstanding! Will return

My wife and I enjoyed a variety of very well prepared spanish food. All was delicious and service was excellent. Nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It is pricey but worth a visit for a special meal.
