Great home town food

I've been eating at this place for 30 years. Building was a dump then and still is, but the food is one of a kind. King Sancho, Wet Plate, Taco.....extra hot. Worth a visit for cheap mexican food.

This place is a total dirty hole in the wall, but it is a Terre Haute staple and we have been eating here for years. Get a wet Sancho, CHEESE DIP, CINNAMON CHIPS, or just plain old crunchy tacos hot with extra sauce. Cheap. CHEAP. Love it every time.

We visited the one on Wabash and it was full of people, who really seemed to enjoy the food....but I will stick to "real" Mexican food or Taco Bell for my fast food Mexican. My husband ordered a wet, hot, Sanchez, at least I think that was the title. Just to "WOW" in a bad way for me.

Taco Man in his Taco Van has a couple of good restaurants in TH. Get either the King or Queen wet burrito with a side of jalapenos. Others in my family like the tacos on a wet plate. You must finish with the cinnamon and sugar tortilla chips. It's like eating left over pie crust brushed with butter, sprinkled with... More

Total hole in the wall place. Looks a bit dumpy but that is part of its charm. Mexican food like nowhere else. I constantly crave it! Must get the King Sancho wet! It's one of the best things to eat in Terre Haute!

I love the wet plate, my husband loves the deluxe enchilada dinner, and stop here every chance we get.

Good food but place really needs a good cleaning and needs updated. Tacos fall apart very easy. The one on 3rd street is better than the one on wabash.

Living in the Wabash Valley for decades, this is a unique take on Mexican food that knows no rival. Get past the run-down buildings (two locations, one on South Third & one on Wabash Avenue) & the ordinary atmosphere, & know that the food is special---it's local! Order a "wet" plate (menu items smothered in thin, spicy sauce) & be... More

Great fajita lunch special. Service was good, the waiter readily reflilled drinks. I ordered wrong thing and he readily made me what I actually wanted in three minutes flat. Also good free chips and salsa. Bright interior. I liked it!

The building was small and seemed a little messy and run down but the food was good. The bathrooms were gross. The staff were friendly but nothing special.
