After an 11 hour car trip, we needed someplace to eat so we hit the internet looking for options. We were sold on the description of the home made pasta and we certainly were not disappointed We dined on spaghetti and meatballs and veal parmesan. Both were outstanding. We were served warm homemade breadsticks that kept on coming. It was... More

What a great meal. The shrimp fettuccine (homemade) was truly rich with large scrumptious shrimp that were crisp and not overcooked. My husband had the veal piccata which was hand sliced veal sautéed and served with homemade spaghetti. We had a nice house red and ended with homemade cannoli. If you know great Italian food this is a 8 or... More

We were going to Gerhardt's not realizing that they are closed on Mondays. Across the street was Piloni's and we recognized the name as #2 on the list. We had calamari, followed by the special soup of the day, lentil. Our cups had barely five lentils each - more amusing than annoying, really but our waitress saw us fishing for... More

We stopped for lunch after calling several places that weren't open. Looking for a non-chain. What a great surprise. The food was terrific, reasonably priced and we'll worth driving into town from Rt 70. We started with a caprice salad with homegrown tomatoes, homemade mozzarella and a flavorful balsamic. I had the lasagna my husband had the eggplant Parmesan. The... More

This restaurant was recently renovated but it had an unfinished look to it. The hostess was very friendly, if not overly eager. She asked us several times how everything was but the first time was before we had anything to eat and the second time was after we had one bite of the salad. For the main dish my husband... More

The only local Italian food that I've found. Service was great too. I recommend Piloni's to everyone.

Wait staff is excellent. Food the best you can find anywhere. They have great veal and pasta. Excellent dessert. Good wine list and beer selection.

Tired of highway food? If you are driving through Terre Haute take a side drive of about 5 miles to the north side of town and treat yourself to some great Italian food. Being from Philadelphia, and having traveled through Italy, we think that we have been able to eat great Italian cuisine. Piloni's equals any that we've had in... More

After reading the rave reviews about Piloni's we wanted to eat there. We were expecting a nice restaurant with some ambiance but the atmosphere is more like eating in a church basement. There was a woman painting on the wall at 7 p.m. during dinner hour and the room smelled of paint. We should have left when we saw that,... More
