What a place! It's an historic building serving fantastic smoked meats and bbq. When you see the smokers and wood out back, you know Rick's doing it up right. Your taste buds do a little happy dance from the first bite. Lunch combos were well priced and generously portioned. Pulled pork is to die for. We skipped the bun and... More

We stopped there one evening for dinner, after spending the day hiking. It's not so fancy we felt under dress in our hiking clothes, yet it's very clean and comfortable. You walk in, place your order, then help yourself to drinks. They will bring your food out a short time later. While waiting, you can look over the memorabilia that... More

We were traveling on I70 to get back home and wanted some lunch that was tasty, not fast food or any of the chains you normally find near the interstate exits. Noticed a billboard that said BBQ 2 miles north on Exit 11....decided to give it a try. Well, it was more than 2 miles north...more like 2 miles north... More

Report Card: Ribs: A - St Louis cut. Good smoke; perfectly cooked. Brisket/Chicken: C - No smoke; cooked through and seemingly braised. Very little flavor, despite obvious seasoning. Disappointing. Sides: A - very good smokey baked beans and Mac and cheese. Both scratch made. No alcohol. Very casual. Tables outside.

We enjoyed Rick's for the first time this evening. The ribs were great, as was the pulled pork, ham, turkey. The onion rings were great as well. It's a nostalgic place, as there's tons of old signage, and ads in the place. If you're a rib fan, you'll love the ribs at Rick's.

Pretty good food. Sometimes the ribs are cooked a bit too long for me but that is just me. I love my ribs juicy and not as tough.

Ribs are good, also the pulled chicken. Never had anything but great food there. Also enjoyed the macaroni and cheese

We periodically eat at Rick's Smokehouse. It's not fancy, but has lots of interesting decorations and memorabilia. I haven't tried much, usually each the pulled pork with garlic bread and hash browns. There are lots more choices on the menu. The barbecued pulled pork has a great flavor, and my husband enjoys eating there too.

In town may be a little modest. I like their BBQ better than most places I've been! Great atmosphere and fantastic food. A little on the pricey side but they use fresh ingredients.
