Based on Trip Adviser reviews we stopped for a late lunch on the way home from Kansas City. I had the sliced chicken sandwich and onion rings. The chicken was hot and moist with a light smoked flavor with the sweet sauce was perfect for me, the breading on the onion ring had a great flavor. My wife had the... More

Our business catered in Ricks on September 4th for approximately 75 people and as always it was Ricks served up an awesome meal. We had pulled pork, beef brisket and beans as our choices keeping things simple. I favored the pulled pork with the sweet sauce over the beef brisket. Both meats were cooked to perfection and had a great... More

We always get our food to go. Good, friendly and efficient service. Very clean. The rib tips are great - not an item I've seen at any bbq places in Dallas. Some people have said the prices are high but you get alot of rib tips in one serving so my husband and I share an order. They offer spicy... More

What fantastic barbeque. The meats were wonderful and the sides were out of this world. Would definitely visit again.

We went to Ricks with a large group. They could not have been more accommodating. We sat in a large back room with neat decorations. The food quality is above average.

It's a bit on the high side price wise. But it is really good food and I like how the ordering is set up as soon as you walk in. I would definitely go again if I was in the area.

What a place! It's an historic building serving fantastic smoked meats and bbq. When you see the smokers and wood out back, you know Rick's doing it up right. Your taste buds do a little happy dance from the first bite. Lunch combos were well priced and generously portioned. Pulled pork is to die for. We skipped the bun and... More

We stopped there one evening for dinner, after spending the day hiking. It's not so fancy we felt under dress in our hiking clothes, yet it's very clean and comfortable. You walk in, place your order, then help yourself to drinks. They will bring your food out a short time later. While waiting, you can look over the memorabilia that... More

We were traveling on I70 to get back home and wanted some lunch that was tasty, not fast food or any of the chains you normally find near the interstate exits. Noticed a billboard that said BBQ 2 miles north on Exit 11....decided to give it a try. Well, it was more than 2 miles north...more like 2 miles north... More

Report Card: Ribs: A - St Louis cut. Good smoke; perfectly cooked. Brisket/Chicken: C - No smoke; cooked through and seemingly braised. Very little flavor, despite obvious seasoning. Disappointing. Sides: A - very good smokey baked beans and Mac and cheese. Both scratch made. No alcohol. Very casual. Tables outside.
