A great place to have a cup of Rex coffee and a breakfast sandwich on Texas toast! Check out the unique museum and their cookies are out of this world

The food was a little dry. Not really what I expected from a company known for their baking. But it was ok. The ambiance was more what I went for anyway. Very cool sitting area with murals and tons to catch your attention.

Nice selection of made from scratch baked goods. The coffee and cookies were excellent! The building interior was charming. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly. Take a few minutes to check out the adjacent museum and its historic displays.

Visited this place about 4 times with other family members. Each time the coffee taste was consistent. However, their pastries were pretty mediocre.

This is an adjunct to the museum and like the museum had a touch of Americana to it. There were many locals eating there so that was an early indication as to the quality of the food. I had a hearty sandwich for lunch and took along some fresh baked cookies. Guess they use Clapper Girl baking powder.

This "company store" was a very pleasant surprise indeed. We stayed at the Candelwood Suites just a few hundred yards from this cafe. We needed to get moving quickly in the morning so we chose carry-out for breakfast. Two breakfast sandwiches and "some bakery." The sandwiches were a full meal, well prepared and tasty. The baked goods looked terrific and... More

We bought some pastries to go for breakfast. Excellent. Clabber girl is a well known name in the midwest, especially for baking powder. They have a museum and bake shop. We didn't have time to go there, but hope to be back.

Having lived in Terre Haute for the last three years, this place was a constant staple due to its freshness and proximity to campus. I typically order the chicken salad sandwich on pretzel roll, cup of chili, and drink. Depending on how hungry I am I may also treat myself to a dessert like cheesecake (not always available), cookie, or... More
