Serving typical bar food, Between the Buns is great for a Notre Dame game day experience, but not much else. The food is done well and the bar sports plenty of Notre Dame memorabilia. I would recommend the fried cajun chicken strips for something besides burgers and sandwiches.

Never eat here. Waitress brought the wrong meal to our table. When we said this is not how we ordered it she grabbed the plate away. Within twenty minutes she returned and literally threw the plate at my mother. We immediately asked for the manager who listened to us apologised and took our number. Nothing was ever done and they... More

Something for everybody here. Typical bar food and drinks in here. Some good burgers and sandwiches, inexpensive. Food is pretty good, I always enjoy my meal. Service is friendly. Some cool decorations and Notre Dame memorabilia in here. There are better places in town, but this place is good as well. Discount for Notre Dame students.

We were looking for somewhere to eat before the ND game on November 23. We stumbled across this place and decided to give it a try. From the outside, it is barely noticeable. In fact, we drove by it twice and finally found it from a liquor store parking lot across the street. Once inside, however, it seemed as though... More

We went after the Irish played so there was a little wait but not as long as they originally stated. The server was friendly and prompt. We had our two boys with us and they have a "family side" so that is nice. Request a booth with a tv..better than the tables. Must try the French Dip (we held the... More

This restaurant near Notre Dame has two sides. Family style dining (with a TV in every booth) on one side and a bar on the other. The breaded mushrooms are awesome and the hamburgers are really good as well. My favorite was the salted caramel martini though.

I visited here while on a business trip recently. The bar appears to be a cheers like environment. The bartender was really friendly as were many of the regulars. They had great drink specials and was a great place to watch football. Will definitely come back!

Recently we visited the University of Notre Dame. Since the football game was out of town, we wanted to find a place that televised the game and had great food. We were immediately attracted to the catchy name of Between the Buns. We called them up explaining we were from PA and wanted to be able to watch the game... More

In our opinion, the food is average, the atmosphere poor, the prices average. Not our cup of tea. We don't understand its popularity.
