Unique, cozy, fun place

What a fun little gem. Our family of 6 really enjoyed the open seating. We sat next to an interesting couple. Food was pretty good, atmosphere was nice.

We have been here many times, it is a friendly pub , and have outdoor seating in the summer time where pets are allowed. We had their fish stew the last time we were there and it was excellent. Always good service here too. Very clean, with books and games for the kids. We love taking out of town people... More

We arrived in South Bend tired and hungry. The Pub served great food and good music. There is open seating which means that you may be sitting at a table with other folks, so be prepared to be cordial. They served gluten free entrees. I had Shepherd's Pie gluten free and it was delicious. My husband had fish and chips... More

Good atmosphere and the bartender really cared about if you like your beer. Held to pub tradition and wasn't a college party bar.

Swanky Irish coolness. An Irish menu, beers I've never heard of, background music that makes me feel like I'm in a scene from Braveheart. Makes me ashamed to be German...oh how I wish to be cool like the Irish. I will return for sure. Oh, and the service was great.

We've gone here 6 of the last 8 Wednesday's and in a row because a friend plays during open mic. The food is completely hit or miss. Sometimes it is great or others, like the insanely sour rhubarb crumble, are complete misses. That said, just the food alone I would give the place a 3.5. The service on the other... More

The best Irish food I've had in the states. The Shepard's pie was perfect, a great beer selection... the usual Irish stuff and a good choice of crafts also. Live music, and a great ambiance. This is a must stop when in South Bend.

What a great surprise! The shared table concept works perfectly here. If there are enough chairs for your group at an already occupied table, you join them. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and appropriately attentive.

Usually have gone here for a date but its great for going with friends and family too. After 9 PM there usually is a band, but I would suggest going on a Tuesday because that's the most fun. On Tuesdays there is a group of musicians who come out just to play together and it is the most enjoyable. Fish... More

GREAT beer selection, nice service, great atmosphere. Brunch is a must on Sundays, and there is live local music daily.
