We had dinner here on a Friday night in August while stopping in South Bend to visit a friend, en route from NY to CO. The place was hopping! There were families with little kids, couples of all ages, college students, "mature" women, and groups of friends. The decor is Celtic Pub with some Notre Dame thrown in. Our waitress... More

A nice small place to have a quiet lunch during the week. Good food and good service. My only complaint is that it is a little dark. They should consider better lighting.

Loved the food and the family style seating! EVERY order was tasty and very well done. The waitstaff was very helpful in helping us order.

We ate dinner here on a Wednesday night when it was Acoustic Open Stage night. This is a small restaurant and it was easily packed but we only waited about 15 minutes for a table (there are some outside tables as well). The live music was really great to listen to, the place is loud due to the music and... More

I want to like this place, but the food has become very disappointing. My Rueben sandwich was the worst version of a Rueben I've ever been served. Although the menu says they don't use nitrates so their corned beef isn't pink, the meat was more like sauerbraten than corned beef. It didn't tasted like corned beef and was stew-like in... More

We had originally walked into a fancy steak house down the street from this place and quickly realized not for us and walked out. So glad we did because we ran into this place which is amazing! Best Reuben sandwich I think I have ever put in my mouth. I can still taste it. The shepherds pie was fantastic. Smoked... More

Pub staff was friendly, food and live music were good and was a short walk from the Oliver Inn. Would recommend.

I used to love fiddlers hearth but my last two visits were disappointing. Firstly, they don't serve imported cider anymore. Whatever cider they have now is no good. I took family there in June and the fries were all old and the fish was just ok.

I went for lunch on a Sunday and the food was so awesome. There was a brunch option but I decided to order off the menu instead and I was not disappointed. The Boxty Pancake with bbq pork was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. There was a couple playing music while were were there... More

It used to be that the service was terrible now the food isn't much better. The fish and chips are normally quite good but yesterday the fish was crispy on the outside but wet in the middle. It was if the fish was defrosted and was still full of water when they battered it. The smoked salmon salad was pretty... More
