We recently dined at Fiddler's Hearth for the first time. The atmosphere is casual and the menu is interesting. It is open seating and you are encouraged to sit a one of the long tables and introduce yourself to the other people there. I ordered the Steakhouse Boxty ($11.00). I had never had this dish before and loved it. A... More

The website looked great showing food pics and they have an interesting menu. It was a place we had not been before so we gave it a try. Parking was hard to find. It is an Irish Pub, but I was unaware what that meant. We were told to sit where we wanted. None of the tables looked inviting and... More

Pub seating throws some people off but works fine once you get used to it. Feels what I think a real pub would be in a small Irish town. Good choices of food. Great beer selection. Fun music some nights.

Fantastic beer list. I had the salmon sandwich. They smoke the salmon onsite and it was awesome. Communal seating options. Lively on a cold Tuesday night with local musicians playing.

The service is great; the food choices are varied, flavorful and certainly enjoyable. Some evenings there is some very good local entertainment. I'd suggest this as an enjoyable evening choice for out-of-towners, and worthy of being a regualr stop for locals. They have a great list of on-tap beer choices.

Being an old hippie who is currently non-smoking, this is a gem in the South Bend area. You sit at big pub tables so I can go alone and never be lonely. I typically don't order food, but most people I know like the offerings. I love the variety of music, there's no cover charge and there's always a fun... More

Stopped in on a Friday night. Took a while to get a seat - no idea live music was going on. Nice local craft beers- loved the holiday ginger spice beer. All got traditional dishes - shepherds pie with lamb, Guinness beef stew and fish and chips. Very satisfying. Our son was entranced by the music so we had another... More

Hand cut fries and fish were our favorite. We were working late in the area and seeking a place who served a late dinner. Live band and a true Irish pub feel made this a fun and delicious place.

While visiting the ND Christmas show, we wanted to try an authentic Irish Pub, not one of those close to campus wanna-bes. We arrived at 8PM on a Saturday night and found this downtown pub to be inviting and friendly. We were greeted promptly and invited to sit where we could watch the folk singers who started at 9PM. We... More

We went to Fiddler's Hearth for my step daughters birthday. The food was okay but nothing great to make me rush back. The service was on the slow side. I would say maybe a place to experience once but again not somewhere I would rush to go back to.
