True Irish Public House

We visited Friday Night and the band was already playing great Irish classics for a packed bar and restaurant. I love the family style seating as it forces you to talk to others in the Public House👍🏼

Lovely little place, great selection of food, local, organic, well-priced. Decor was very Celtic, including a caber mounted on the wall. Serving staff was very friendly and accommodating. Fish & chips came wrapped in a newspaper! Very authentic. Lots of variety of beverages, too. Creative menu.

This is a very nice place. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is great. There aren't many places that you can find food this authentic and also get to listen to authentic Celtic music. We went there for lunch and are planning on going back for dinner for the live music. The wait staff is very friendly and continually... More

I visited here, on a co-worker's recommendation, right after moving to the area. I was excited to see they had vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and that they used a lot of local ingredients. I had the vegan shepherd's pie (a special), which was quite tasty. But the highlight was the pie, also from the specials menu -... More

We were traveling through town and discovered this gem. It was Saturday night around 9 and we needed a meal. It looked like a typical Irish pub from the outside but inside we found a lively place with a fine beer list. A string duo was warming up, but it wasn't too loud and provided a great background for our... More

Party of 9 on a Friday night-we were seated outside and despite it being quite hot and humid it was pleasant out there-covered patio with fans. We were given 4 menus for the 9 of us and no children's menu (had a 6 and 9 year old with us) until I asked for one. Our waiter was not bad-just almost... More

In spite of the title, we liked this place so much that we went back twice during our two-night stay. It is noisy and you might share a table with another group. The burgers, sandwiches and soups were awesome and tasty. Fries are fabulous. We're not beer drinkers, but they have a great selection and also live music in the... More

So glad we found this gem over the weekend. THe food was to die for and it was an overall great atmosphere. The live music was also a plus!

Driving through South Bend on our summer trip, we were excited to try this highly rated spot in a sleepy, surprisingly tiny town. While the "beer garden" (back enclosed space) was actually lovely, and the servers were very nice, the food was pretty disappointing. The Welsh Rarebit appetizer was the brightest spot, even with the unusual touch of blue cheese.... More

Lunch with family. Authentic decor with friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff and great spot. Reuben was great as was the burger. Soup was filling and delicious. Look forward to future visit and the shepherd pie.
