The Vine is located less than a block from the Morris Theater in downtown South Bend. The menu is varied with everything from a fillet to specialty pizzas. We had pasta. I have gone to The Vine frequently for lunch. The food is consistently good. There is a good selection - pasta, sandwiches, soup, salads, and pizza.

I had the tastiest salmon salad -- every bite was an explosion of flavors perfectly mixed. I expected flakes of salmon atop the lettuce mixture, but the dish was served with a lovely filet of salmon on top, perfectly grilled and delicious. Nice wine list. Tasty homemade iced tea. Good service, attentive but not over bearing.

We had our salad course here and the greens were fresh and very tasty. I had the peanut dressing so the salad was crisp and cold. My wife had the garbage salad but the name does not describe how delicious it was. Andrea provide superb service. I know why the Vine has been here so long.

I enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend mid afternoon on a recent Monday. Our service was very good, and our meals enjoyable. We were rushed in any way, and were made to feel that our business was appreciated. Will definitely go back when in the area again!
