We were driving on 90 and wanted something better than fast food. The reviews were good on Google so we tried it. It is about 10 minutes off the highway. It was very good. We had gyros. All was fresh and nicely prepared. The place was spotless. The waiter was nice. It was a lovely diversion. The speedway next door... More

This is a spot to get some pretty decent Middle Eastern fare though it was rated a little more highly on TripAdvisor than my experience would suggest. When I arrived into South Bend by train from Chicago, this place caught my eye as I looked through TripAdvisor. Middle Eastern food sounded good and it looked as though the reviews were... More

We eat here a lot, primarily lunch. I'm a fussy eater (don't use menus unless necessary) and they put together what I want. I like the kafta, chicken, and lentils with a side of garlic paste or hummus. We really like the food and the service is very good. The place is authentic. Worth a visit.

I'm not a huge Mediterranean food fan but there's little not to like about Elia's. They have good prices and good portions of food.

Friday night dinner with the wife. Had read on TA that Elia's was the spot for Mediterranean cuisine in South Bend. Well the Hummus was good but the Pita was store bought and not the best pita that I have had from stores we shop at. Meat filled grape leaves were very good. From there the dinner went downhill. The... More

We thought the food was pretty good, but quite expensive. Healthy choices. Authentic food. Parking rather limited.

Nice place for eat in or take out. Quiet place for lunch and if you tell them you are pressed for time, they will work with you. I love the garlic paste and pita appetizer. The hoummus and kibbee ball are great too. I am always torn for the entrée - beef shawarma or Hashwi of kafta? They are all... More

Whenever I eat out I'm always looking for places where I can easily eat vegan but where my non-vegan friends will also have plenty of options. This place was the perfect choice for lunch. The falafel and hummus were exactly what I wanted. Prices are reasonable.

Traveling across country we're always looking for FRESH vegan and vegetarian restaurants w/o the gluten fake meat stuff. This made the delish list! Had the mezzah sampler appetizer, vegetarian combo and grill combo. Would get it all again. Hummus, baba ghannouge, tabouli and dolmas fresh n perfect. Grill combo good but kebab was boring, chicken was best part- very moist.... More
