Great food, great service!

Had large family gathering there. Food was delicious and service was exceptional! Only negative was the high prices. Would definitely recommend it, just make sure to bring plenty of cash.

Dont miss eating in this historic home. The setting is relaxing and located convenient to downtown. We ate outside on the patio but inside is so beautiful as well. Walking on the grounds and in the house is worth the stop. The Prime Rib was delicious and perfectly cooked.

We did not know this was the Studebaker's family home! We just stumbled on this fantastic mansion restaurant while walking through the neighborhood...what a fun find! The wait staff was so nice - gave us a history of the house and invited us to roam the whole place from the basement up to the ballroom!! (which we happily did!) Then... More

Come to see this historical mansion. This was my second visit...beautiful appointments...you are not rushed. Food is OK. We took advantage of a two for $22 special. My friend's French onion soup was fair. It lacked flavor...too many croutons. Tasted microwaved, not baked. We both had the chicken with broccoli and a white cheese sauce. It was good, but lacked... We ate here one evening and the wait staff was very attentive. The food was very good and you are able to tour the whole house while you are there. It has an amazing history; unbelievable that so much of the house is intact after being lost in the Depression and being used by other entities before being bought as... More

I have probably frequented this restaurant five times over the past few years - different occasions, but always wonderful to go back! The food is outstanding. Service is very good! It's a prize piece of South Bend history that comes alive to its guests! Linda Z

We met friends for our monthly get together last night (6/20/2015). The website for Tippecanoe Place looks far better than the current reality. The facility is not being maintained. We saw broken furniture, dirty carpeting and woodwork that is marketed as part of the historic home's attraction. The current owners have either decided to run it into the ground or... More

Great food but even better, you are allowed and even encouraged to roam freely around this beautiful mansion. Really enjoyed the historic stories of the Studebakers.

Being there near Thanksgiving, this historic converted mansion was dressed to the nines for the Christmas holidays. My server suggested I explore the upper floor after my [fabulous] dinner. As suggested, I took the [oldest elevator in Indiana] to the top, explored all the dining rooms and nooks and crannies on all the floors, using the impressive staircase. There could... More

Then location is something to see. The service was good. The majority of the food was ok with a nice presentation. Halibut was well done. The Prime Rib which the menu says is a specialty, was poor. The prime rib was not a quality piece of meat and had been reheated. I got medium and not medim rare as requested.... More
