I have eaten here many times. It is a wonderful historic location, and they let you wander around to see it. Food is good, and price is reasonable for the meal. But service is often very, very slow, so be sure that you have enough time budgeted.

I have been to Tippecanoe Place several times over the years, and there is still nowhere else in South Bend that you can have a meal in such impressive surroundings. I have heard that the quality of the food has declined over the past few years, but I was hoping that we would be in for a surprise. Unfortunately our... More

My husband and I ate lunch last Wednesday, March12 - it was absolutely terrible!! The waiters need a lot more training, no direction, running over each other. My husband ordered a bloody Mary, when waiter brought it to the table it was over flowing and napkin was soaked, my husband had to ask for another napkin and to clean the... More

We had a great dinner not too long ago... great staff, excellent food and wine. Tried some different appetizers and thoroughly enjoyed the entrees.

Went for Sunday brunch a couple times. Food was good but not great. Nice variety, but a little pricey for the quality. Very crowded ,not a place for young children. Service was a bit slow for just drinks.

Wonderful old mansion is the setting. Good menu selections, high prices which were not unexpected. However, the food was simply ok. A bit disappointing. Have had better filet mignon at local and/or chain restaurants in our hometown.

I went with a group of friends just to have a good time and look at the Christmas lights. We get there and it's somewhat busy, but not too bad. We were seated right away and our server came up promptly. We ordered drinks, which took awhile, but we were talking and having a good time. Upon ordering, I requested... More

The house specialty prime rib was served with a dry exterior and was tough. I was surprised it would be allowed to leave the kitchen and the waitress served it. I had to ask for a steak knife to saw through the 2nd slice given to replace the first. The sandwiches ordered were to be on a pretzel bun. Each came... More
