Great setting

A self guided tour of the house topped of an interesting lunch. A new chef had just started and the luncheon menu was very good. The clam chowder was great and the cake, made by the B&B next door delicious.

This restaurant was like also visiting a museum. All rolled into one beautiful place. You are free to roam this beautiful house . After eating they give you a self guided map. Although the staff truely love working here. They will offer up offer up information or answer any questions you would have.

A fine cuisine restaurant in business for 35 years, but with over a hundred years of history as the Studebacker Mansion. Come experience the limestone exterior and the fine wood interior. Many unique rooms and dining options, including upper level event spaces and a full catering option. My wife and I were married hear in 2001, and loved the experience.... More

I was just talking to my sister-in-law about Tippecanoe. It was over 10 years since I've been there for brunch but there is one thing I never forget -- brunch! It was absolutely delicious and the facility is gorgeous. I need to go back and return one of these days. It was phenomenal!

We spent the afternoon at the Studebaker National Museum down the street, and came across Tippecanoe Place, the former home of the Studebaker family, by happy accident. What an amazing find. We were greeted by a friendly host and hostess moments inside the front door. We were assured our shorts and casual attire were appropriate, and offed the opportunity to... More

I understand this was the Studebaker family mansion dating back to the 1800's. The building itself is obviously historical and a focal point in South Bend, IN. It is extremely dark inside and for me it was quite gaudy in décor but of course it wasn't my personal taste as I am sure for that period it was quite decadent.... More

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner (Prime rib and french onion soup). The mansion is beautiful and it was great to walk around. Ask for the history at the reception desk. Be sure to take a ride in the 3rd oldest elevator in the USA. It is nothing spectacular, but at least you can say you did it! Service was very good.

We had our son's rehearsal dinner here four years ago and absolutely loved it! The building is very historic (built in 1889) and is stunning. We have gone back multiple times for their Sunday Brunch which is delicious and offers just about anything you could want. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Should be on everyone's MUST DO list.

Dont miss eating in this historic home. The setting is relaxing and located convenient to downtown. We ate outside on the patio but inside is so beautiful as well. Walking on the grounds and in the house is worth the stop. The Prime Rib was delicious and perfectly cooked.

We did not know this was the Studebaker's family home! We just stumbled on this fantastic mansion restaurant while walking through the neighborhood...what a fun find! The wait staff was so nice - gave us a history of the house and invited us to roam the whole place from the basement up to the ballroom!! (which we happily did!) Then... More
