I have always enjoyed Tippecanoe - the atmosphere is great, it is a lovely place to go. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies and it was delicious. Moist, flavorful and it hit the spot! We love to go there at lunch.

I was very excited to have lunch at Tippecanoe Place, I had heard so much about it. The home did not disappoint but the food did. I selected salmon that the server said was one of their most popular entrees and asked for it to be prepared medium rare. She said the could not do that, it had to be... More

We had wanted to eat here for a long time and decided our anniversary would be a good time. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we felt we were being pampered. The wait staff were very friendly and checked on us frequently. We ate lunch so we didn't have big meals but our food was very good and the portion... More

It was well worth the price of dinner just to see this incredible old mansion. It was like walking back in time. Staff was very friendly and we even got a little tour of some of the rooms. Service was excellent, food was not great but it was good. No complaints. I think anyone would totally enjoy the experience of... More

We were told this was THE place in town to eat, but we were not impressed with the food. The ambiance is upscale, but of course, people were in shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, etc. The servers were dressed nicer than the patrons, and they were very attentive. The menu was promising, but the execution was not there. My salmon was... More

We just had our wedding at Tippecanoe Place. I can't overstate how great everything was. Katie, the coordinator, was wonderful. "Whatever you want!" was her most common phase whenever we asked "can we do this...?". Accommodating, professional, and low-stress. Everything from the food, to the set up, to the drink service, was phenomenal. We had our ceremony outside on the... More

I have lived in South Bend all my life and eaten at Tippecanoe Place Restaurant many times over the years. The restaurant has had it's ups and downs, but I can say that it is definitely on the up-swing! My husband and I had dinner there last evening for Restaurant Week and ate on the newly installed patio dining area!... More

We had dinner at Tippecanoe Place while staying next door at the Oliver Inn recently. The food and service are very good, but for us the highlight of the evening was the opportunity to tour the entire mansion afterward. Built in 1889, it was the residence of Clement Studebaker, a co-founder of the Studebaker vehicle manufacturing firm. Studebaker lived in... More

Traveling around our great mid-west, we happened upon the beautiful little town of South Bend and enjoyed lunch today at the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant. What a beautiful mansion, inside and out! This is affordable fine dining at it's best! My very berry salad (greens with strawberries and blueberries) topped with a grilled chicken breast was great, served with a warm... More
