We finished a photo job late and were hungry and decided on Nick's Patio. Because of the great service and good and plenty of food we always receive for the price. Sometimes we stop in for a snack and sometimes for a full meal and they have always been good. This time we were in the area but many times... More

We arrived in South Bend late and were directed to Nick's by locals. We were not disappointed. It is an old time diner with a very large selection of menu items. I had a late night special the Pizza Grilled cheese. It was Texas toast grilled cheese with sausage and meat sauce for dipping . Very tasty served with fries.... More

I grew up in South Bend, but I've never been to Nick's until recently. I wonder if the high rates are nostalgia votes or I hope that my experience was just an off one. The food was awful. I ordered what was supposed to be a Greek dish of lemon chicken with feta. I couldn't taste the lemon and was... More

......but somehow my plate is always empty when I'm done. It's not the best food I've ever eaten but it certainly is great liver & onions. This is my favorite spot in South Bend for liver and onions. I know some of you are cringing at the very thought of that. If you are one of the few of us... More

Sounds like a good place to avoid, based on the mgmt's acceptance of teenage boys to be rude and abusive to disabled female customers. I won't ever stop here on my way through SB.

If you want some good cooking with homemade flavor, this is the place for you! They never disappoints me! I have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Th1 waitresses are sweet and aim to please. The prices are great and everyone in our group loved their food, from chopped steak to salads . Tasted good left over too... the... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat in South Bend after 9:30PM on a Sunday night. This is a challenge! We were so happy to find Nick's Patio. They have an enormous menu. We had a very nice waiter although he didn't seem to know too much about the menu. We started with the appetizer combo, it was delicious! Everything... More

Stopped for lunch on a hot summer day. Busy place on a Sunday, with very casual atmosphere. Ordered the fresh fruit plate with cottage cheese and raisin bread, and couldn't believe the size of the plate when it was delivered! Took home half the fruit for a later meal. The Mediterranean Salad was also tasty and a generous portion. Very... More

Some of the food on the menu is great while others is not so great. I don't like the french fries at all. Their breakfast buritto is good. The prices are reasonable too. In addition they are opened 24/7, which is nice.

This place is the place to be for late night grub or early morning breakfy! I think we have tried everything on the menu and the specials are great too. The chicken salad plate is one of my favorites and the chicken bowtie soup is a solid choice. Service is pretty random as they seem to have a high turnover,... More
