Delicious, homemade food--cheap!

Great deals for students! The pupusas are delicious and handmade by the owner. This is a great carry-out treat.

Great catering - papusas, chicken and rice, etc. Works everything out over the phone, and will deliver to Notre Dame. Definitely a favorite catering spot for something different in South Bend!

Located on SR23/Eddy, it's a place I often drove past, assuming, due to its location and sparse parking lot traffic, that it was out of business. I heard otherwise and am glad I stopped in. It's a small restaurant which has a few tables, but predominantly relies on carryout and catering. The menu is small: pupusas and tamales, but the... More

This was my first experience eating Papusas. I went twice since I wasn't really sure that I liked them the first time. It's probably an acquired taste but I did end up craving them, hence the second visit. I tried to call ahead since it takes about 15 minutes to prepare but the phone just kept ringing. I had to... Very good Salvadoran food. Simple, limited menu and best for take out. They close early, so plan ahead. Owners are very sweet. Food is consistently good.

Girasol is simple, Salvadorian food. The menu is limited, as is the seating, but the Pupusas are fantastice and the owners are wonderful hosts. We just discovered this place and have been back trhee times. The building is unobtrusive, and certainly won't catch your eye as you drive by. Service is primarily carry out, but there are a few bar... More
