This restaurant is one of the few restaurants in South Bend serving a quality meal. The atmosphere is quite nice. It has an attractive interior in the old bank building with a two story ceiling. Service was quite efficient and friendly. There is a nice bar area. The food was very good; not quite NYC or LA gourmet, but excellent... More

The setting is stunning so right away you feel excited just being there. They have a beautiful full bar, good wine list, and wonderful food. I recommend the wild mushroom soup and their risotto cakes. With that and a glass of wine, you feel a glow!!

I'm quite impressed with the direction this restaurant is going. Tonight we tried the chilled duck confit served with goat cheese and a small frisee salad. The blue mussels with the citrus bouillon were also very tasty. I selected the rack of lamb for my entree and because so many restaurants tend to overcook it, I requested it rare rather... More

The food is delicious. Have only been there for lunch, but everything I've tried is great. Soups are very good too.

I'm on a mommy/daughter trip and was hungry for French onion soup and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine! I found this place and was pleasantly surprised! The food was incredibly well seasoned and cooked to perfection! I ordered the French onion soup, salad with pears and candied walnuts and braised short rib. Sounds like a lot... More

I would say that South Bend, being a fairly small college town, is not a mecca for foodies. However, Cafe Navarre is the caliber of restaurant you would desire when you want a nice evening out in an upscale atmosphere (even though people insist on wearing t-shirts and shorts anywhere these days) with an eclectic menu and a great bar.... Last night my husband and I (and our daughter and her fiancee') went to Cafe Navarre for a "tasting" of possible menu choices for their wedding reception on August 2nd at The Exchange. (Cafe Navarre provides the food for The Exchange.) We felt like royalty, as we were treated royally. Everyone at Cafe Navarre seemed aware that we were coming... More

My first trip to Cafe Navarre with my wife was a great experience. I knew we were in the right place for dinner being that the restaurant was nearly full just past 6:00 on a Monday night. Both my wife and I are in the restaurant industry and know what a Monday night can typically mean for business. We were... More

We stopped in for the first time to have drinks. The bartender was very friendly & informative about the menu as well. We will definitely return for lunch or dinner in the future.

I went hear with a relative for dinner one night and really enjoyed it. We had to keep pushing out the reservation on a busy night due to some traveling issues but they were very flexible and still kept a table for us. The food was very good and the menu had nice variety. We had a dessert that was... More
