We were there for a paired wine dinner, and we were not disappointed. Superbly prepared courses were masterfully paired with high end wines. We feel like we are in a much larger, food oriented city when we go to Cafe Navarre. I highly recommend this establishment to visitors looking for great, innovative cuisine.

So much to say about this delightful experience that words cannot truly express how special it is to dine at Cafe Navarre. The atmosphere is perfect; the food is fabulous. The service is beyond most in the area. Five stars for each and every part of Cafe Navarre. #1 on our go-to places to eat.

This is a wonderful place to go for a nice "fancy" dinner. The food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Although I would definitely call it a fine dining restaurant, it is casual enough so you can enjoy yourself and relax. Any meal I have ever had here is excellent, and they do a great job at providing... More

South Bend is fortunate to have some fine dining now, and Cafe Navarre is certainly among the top two or three dining establishments in the city. The meal was excellent, the service fine, and the overall experience pleasant and memorable. As I told the waiter, someone in the kitchen truly knows how to cook fresh salmon--it was perfect. My wife's... More

Four of us went here for South Bend's Restaurant Week. Their prix fixe menu was wonderful. Three of us ordered the lamb shank and the fourth had trout. We all agreed the shank was delicious. The trout was great, too. The atmosphere is casual but you'll see people dressed up for dinner, especially, on Fridays and Saturdays. We are regulars... More

The chef has fresh options with good standard menu and specials. Great bar, wine and beer selection. Decadent deserts. They did a great job of keeping the architectural details from the bank that once occupied the building. Modern but elegant like the food.

On New Year's Eve we found the meal to be just all right and the service was fine. Bread was disappointing. For the prices, our expectations were not met. The old bank makes for a rather loud setting. Seating in a booth may have been better. Compared with fine dining elsewhere there is a way to go.

We ate dinner her for the first time on New Years Eve. We had party of 12 so we were put in a large room upstairs. It was nice to have the whole room to ourselves. The servers were very good. We started with French Onion soup and Cesar salad. Then scallops and risotto. Dinner we had surf and turf... More

My first visit was enjoyable. I was there with a small group from work and the place was very busy. We were attended by the wait staff quickly and the food came in good time. The food was delicious (I got the grilled cheese sandwich. It was like none other.) The fries were also good; they looked dark (burned) but... More
