We stopped in South Bend on our way to Chicago. We were just looking for a quick lunch but the beautiful commons area caught our attention and we parked. There were several restaurants but this one had an outdoor seating area. We ate outside and had a great meal. Quick service, fresh salad, not too expensive. I think this is... More

We went here on our first night here. The girl that waited our table was very smart, quick and attentive, and we enjoyed the cheap Sunday pints and tasty burgers. As a quick stop for basic burger needs this place is perfectly fine. I wouldn't come here every night.

They hire and caterer to the college crowd, the pop is flat, and the service is awful. We gave this place more than one try and it failed consistently so we will not go back. I could go into detail but it would be quite lengthy and I am not going to relive the poor service we had, but just... More

This place is situated adjacent to the Notre Dame Campus and is geared to students. We were there out of term and its a very large place, so appeared a bit empty, but certain to be full in term time and on match days. There are two pool tables, and many tv screens all tuned to sports channels. The menu... More

Traveling with 17/18 yr old baseball team, they accommodated 50 people with great service and personable friendly waitresses. The food and service were top notch for a bar in the new area of entertainment/food near campus.

While driving from Chicago to Philly, South Bend came up just as US/Germany World Cup soccer match was starting, and dinner time was calling. Brother's was an energetic spot to watch match and get a great meal. Can only imagine how great this place must be on a college football Saturday

We walked into Brothers for lunch with three adults and a baby. The place was pretty empty but the two hostesses (I guess they need two so that they can talk and not serve customers. They seemed irked that we interrupted them) insisted we sit outside despite it being windy, cold and cloudy. They could see that I wanted to... More

We arrived around 2 PM and were seated. It took 5-10 minutes for the waitress to come and take our order - the special were wings (with or without bone) for $5 which we tried and the pretzels. They didn't have any "real" hot sauce for the wings - if you are going to do wings you need hot sauce.... More

Went on a Sunday night. I was drawn in with the $3 pints. First three choices I tried were not available. Of course they were the most expensive ones. On the upside I was able to order a tasty Scottish ale. The atmosphere is what has been stated before. An upscale trendy sports bar hangout for the college crowd. So... More

If you like good beer this is the place, that is the only reason it is not poor. The regular menu is ok however they have moved to a limited (not so good) menu on game weekends. We had a large party on the Friday before the OK game. When we arrived the three girls at the hostess were too... More
