Good food good atmosphere

Perfect spot to meet a friend for lunch. School is not in session yet so it wasn't overly busy. Food was good, server wasn't as attentive as she could have been bit generally a good experience.

I've ended up visiting this place on quite a few occasions due to it's location & staff. Every visit the bar staff is great and always makes me feel very welcome. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Very cozy and friendly Irish pub. Highly recommended.

The restaurant was just ok. I went with my husband a two children. My kids had burgers, which were less than stellar. I had the lamb shank and it was delicious, however there wasn't much of it. I left the restaurant hungry, which should never happen.

We arrived with a few families following a full day of competition. From the beginning you could see they are completely disorganized. We sat for over 15 minutes before we were approached. Never did get silverware we found it ourselves. Once ordered we sat 1 and 1/2 hours without food, then food arrived for a part of the party.. Maybe... More

I would truly like to apologize for the experience you had at O'Rourke's. We frequently have sports teams, families, and groups such as yours dine with us and it is completely unacceptable for us to have been so underprepared. I want to thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your situation. Without feedback, we can not improve.... More

Luckily, we were in O'Rourke's the very day that the USA women's soccer team won the championship. The atmosphere was electric especially when Team USA scored (and again and again). We were very impressed with the look of this restaurant - pub. The old-fashion style ceiling right out of the 50's but modern and shiny clean. The faux stone wall... More

It was fine for a quick meal, while staying near the University of Notre Dame. Our hotel was right around the corner. So, it was a convenient walk. Food was average -- nothing noteworthy, but not bad either. It seemed to be a good place to go if you want to watch a game on TV and have a beer.

Good selection of beers and ales accompanied by standard pub food menu. Friendly staff. Entrees are probably pre-prepared and microwaved; my lamb shank was presented gorgeously (for pub food) and good serving temperature on the outside, but icy cold at the bone. When it was pointed out, the staff were properly appalled, addressed the situation immediately and courteously, and the... More

One must have a pint, as a start, and the food, for bar food, was excellent. A menu with good choices. We had ten people and it took them less than five minutes to rearrange tables to accommodate us. A welcoming place.

Very close to campus. Food was pretty good. Service was adequate. Got the impression that we were not their ideal guests. There were 6 of us and only one of us ordered alcohol. We did order apps and 6 dinners, but got the impression the waitress was looking for a higher yield table.

Had lunch with a party of six family members at O'Rourke's recently. Although the atmosphere was nice and service adequate, both other members of our group and I were not impressed with the food. I had a loaded burger which was quite messy and just not that tasty. My wife had a salad which she reported as also uninteresting. The... More
