As a Notre Dame student in the late 1970's, Rocco's was a treat! A long walk off campus, but worth every step. I get by whenever I'm in town (not too often.) My wife and daughter had to agree that it's the BEST pizza they've ever had as well. Unique, of course, is the pizza. The sandwiches are great too.... More

This is it ! Order the xtra, xtra, xtra thin crispy crust pizza with your favorite topping(s) and it's a true winner ! Add a salad, a quart of beer or a bottle of the Villa Antinori Toscana Vino and your on a roll ! Pasta not bad either. Wow ! Warren and Linda will look after you.

My wife, two teens, and I ate here over Easter weekend. We were visiting the area from out of town. We were looking for a local Italian restaurant that was not a chain because we like to find mom and pop places that have their own taste and flare. If this is the best Italian food that South Bend has... More

Our daughter recommended Rocco's which is considered to be a local institution. Definitely reminded us of an old fashioned neighborhood eatery with black and white framed photos on most of the walls, a large hand painted mural on another, and lots of tables filled with families, school kids, and couples. Very friendly waitress who sat us down and got our... More

We have eaten here for more than 40 years. When Rocco gave it up, his daughter and SIL took it over and nothing thankfully changed. A wonderful friendly family who are always there. Very popular with Notre Dame folks. Forget it on football weekends. Food is all homemade and is excellent. Pretty much all Italian. Try it when in town.

The food at Rocco's is outstanding...it is a timeless icon across from ND and St Joe HS. Pizza, pasta, lasagna...outstanding!

This is a well known local casual restaurant known for its pizza. Very family friendly. If you go early, it will be swarming with kids. If you want a more adult (read: quiet) dinner, aim for a later meal time. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations. Garlic cheesy bread is a do-not-pass-up appetizer. All portions are generous.

I rarely order spaghetti from a restaurant but after Rocco's spaghetti I may change my ways. Not sure anyone could compare! Meatballs were very good as well. Very attentive service. Had a few local craft brews available. Recently updated decor with painted murals, still has the nice touch of family pictures.

We experienced Rocco's a couple hours after the ND game. Saw the reviews and figured this was a fan favorite for sure. We arrived about 8:45pm to a packed restaurant. We inquired about the wait time and were told 30 minutes but we were not seated until after 9:30pm. We asked about getting a beer while we wait but the... More
