The last time I ate here was in March 2009, and the food was excellent. Had the opportunity to eat there again today, had the cherry crepes with the vanilla cream cheese for breakfast. As before, as is now, the food was excellent. Good service, clean restaurant, bathrooms and amenities in good repair. If you're in the South Bend area,... More

I always try to eat breakfast here when I'm in South Bend. It's the perfect place to get big homemade pancakes and get your day going. Service is always good, and it's not going to break your bank account to eat here. Just a good ole fashioned breakfast diner!

This place is phenomenal, for $4.95 you get 2 eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, endless coffee and a glass of juice you cannot beat that price anywhere! The service was amazing, very friendly staff!!!! Try it guarantee you'll like it :)

Was looking for a breakfast place an hour into our trip to Ohio and we found this spot on accident... so glad we did!! We were here around 1 on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I ordered 2 eggs, ham, hash browns and a side of biscuits and gravy and have not even one single complaint!... More

We tried it on a Notre Dame home game weekend...the place was packed but they did a very well, considering the circumstances. Food is good, portions a little large, so went with senior portions on second trip. Nice family operation, definately try it.

Very good food and service. We looked at the reviews on this site, and overlooked the obvious disgruntled employee comments. Nice to find a nice , clean, and friendly place in the middle of the chain restaurants. We'll return, as we go through this area often.

We stopped for breakfast on our way out of town for the first time at this restaurant in the 11+ years visiting Notre Dame. Wish I had started years ago. The food was amazing. As were the portions! And the wait staff was very nice. Overall excellent!

We hit American Pancake for breakfast before leaving town. It was exactly what I want. A good ol' fashion pancake house that has a good selection. We got a ridiculous amount of food for the price. Everything was good and the waitstaff was attentive.

Restaurant is nasty, owner is a Greek that watches his staff on camera while he sits in the kitchen area smoking. Treats his staff like dirt makes them serve his coffee to him with his one pack of Splenda, makes the servers sit for at least 30 off the clock after the scheduled time, takes food from the bus tubs... I met some friends for breakfast, before shopping. I think there was 1 waitress, kind of felt worry for her. It is your typical breakfast joint. I got the pancakes…they were good, just took a long time. They were good and priced right, just wish we would have gotten out of there in a decent amount of time. If I... More
