We really enjoyed our dinner here. We visited on a Monday and it was surprisingly busy, with several large groups. Nevertheless we got served quickly and friendly and the food was very tasty. Would recommend eating here to everyone visiting Shipshewana.

Very popular place with great service and more delicious food. Waited 20-30 minutes for a table...just enough time to peruse the gift shop and bakery. Tables are a little close, making it difficult for some people to navigate to/from their table.

We visited Blue Gate on Labor Day, so we were expecting them to be pretty busy. They had a special event buffet for the day, wirh most of the food offered on the Family Style, but it was cheaper! It was really good food with good service.

Pay husband, my 15-year-old son and I loved the food. We each ordered different meat dishes and ate Amish style peanut butter with our fresh rolls. (Amish peanut butter is peanut butter mixed with marshmallow cream!) of course, we ordered different fruit pies for dessert, and they were all good. The bakery is amazing! They offered cookbooks and other collectible... More

The food was excellent, fresh salad, great meat selection and friendly service. This is an all you can eat event which also includes a huge selection of homemade pies.

This place is a huge commercialized establishment where they bus in tourists to eat Coun*** Buffet quality meals. As you enter the main lobby, you go on the wait list for its 7 dining rooms (which look like old style college cafeteria spaces) spread over 3 floors, noisy, with harried wait staff that rarely appeared at our table or brought... It's authentic Amish food and very good. Plentiful portions and great desserts!! The restaurant was very clean. The staff seemed very busy and had to wait for drinks. I would recommend to anyone traveling in this area.
