Not a friendly place. Couldn't even get access to a menu. What was posted on a blackboard above the cook's area they didn't have so I got a pulled pork sandwich as I saw another customer getting one. No sides nor was I asked if I wanted anything to go with it. It was ok but the sandwich was not... More

We've been getting ribs at Slappy's for about 4 years and the're GREAT. The pulled pork sandwiches are also out of this world. It's just carry out and they do run out close to closeing time. The chicken is also good, but as others have mentioned the sides are store bought and not home made, to bad some great home... More

We got a half slab of ribs, half a chicken, baked beans and potato salad. The only bad thing is that the potato salad tasted like it was bought from a grocery store. Everything else was excellent. They need to be on the KC Masterpiece BBQ Cookoff show. I would have paid more if the asked.

Never had smoked chicken wings...they were out of this world and huge! And the ribs....some of the best I have ever had! We are from MA and have children in TN and Austin and I have never had better ribs....definitely a 5 out of 5!

Always excellent tasting food. No complaints here, but wish they had an eat-in dining room as well as take away. The building they are in doesn't support that type of atmosphere though.
