Great food, price and quiet atmosphere for a family of four after a loud football game. The small separate rooms are cool. We'll be back.

While traveling from Virginia to Iowa we swung into Richmond to stop for lunch. Reviews sounded good for The Olde Richmond Inn. Expectations were high. Both our meals were better than expected. My pepper steak was tender and very well seasoned. It was perfectly decorated with cheese and peppers. The black bean soup that came with the special was thick... More

With it's many small rooms, this is a great place for family celebrations the lamb is tender (if you want it rare, emphasize it to your waiter). The scallops are also well cooked. The salads are nothing special, but the soups do have some flare. The cooking here is not innovative, but well prepared, nice presentation and reasonably priced.

I am a fan of restaurants in old homes, and this one fit the bill. One of I must think only two or so "fine" dining locations in Richmond, it was one of the most extensive menus I have seen, with many variations of fish beef and fowl, plus the longest list of specials I have ever seen. I had... More

I spent two nights in Richmond and this looked like the best place in town. I enjoyed the first dinner so I went back the second evening too. On the first evening I was seated in the casual dining room adjacent to the bar. It was about 8:30 on a weeknight and there was only one other table occupied. The... More

The Olde Richmond Inn deserves all the praise heaped upon it. The food was excellent. The staff we prompt, kind and always looking for an opportunity to provide great service. The interior is lovely with lots of exposed wood and plush carpet. Really, this restaurant is pretty much perfect!

We always go to the Richmond Inn for our anniversaries. Last night was especially good! My wife had her favorite Roast Duck (specially ordered a week early) and I had Rack of Lamb. The 1/2 duck filled the large dinner plate and was outstanding. My wife DREAMED about it all night! I loved my lamb. The large Martinis were fabulous... More

There is history, ambiance and great food. The menu is extensive. Give yourself plenty of time to relax and enjoy the experience. The wine list is abbreviated but good and fairly priced as are the specialty martinis and coffees. It may be a small town but the restaurant has a broad cliental for support and allows the chef to turn... More
