Sal's is not a typical pizza place, but rather an Italian restaurant. They have a pleasant variety of authentic Italian food and a nice wine selection. Service is always good, but I don't recommend going here in a hurry, because Sal's is a soothing place and not a hurry up place.

We love to go to Sal's on a Friday or Saturday night because the food is great, the music is soft, the lights are low, and its just calming. You can have a great pizza or pasta dish and let the day wash away. Another great thing is the bread and oil they serve when you arrive. It is really... More

My first visit was great! I loved the caprice appetizer. So did my husband. We had a good salad with good looking veggies. I liked the balsamic dressing I ordered which was home made im sure. They bring bread a balsamic oil to dip. We had sals favorite for our pizza. Wow it was good! Thats how pizza should be!... More

Sal's, what is going on? Your restaurant was one of my fave's, but the last three times, I see changes. First, if yoy are going to serve chicken fettuccini, don't give me chicken linguine. Plus, where is the chicken? Tiny little morsels? Is it chicken? Your minestrone is a watery mess! Put some tomatoes and macaroni in it, and perhaps... More

My husband and I dine here about every other week. Its a local favorite - not only for wood oven pizza but for his authentic Italian dishes. Over the years we've tried just about every thing on the menu. The Linguini Tutto Mare and Linguine Al Pesto are by far the two we like best!.

I ordered the chicken parmesan, and it was amazingly good! The marinara sauce tasted homemade - wonderful! The bread served before the meal was warm, sliced Italian bread. The olive oil that accompanies the bread was a little different than what I've had before. Perhaps it was mixed with red wine vinegar...? It was excellent. I also had the cannoli... More

It is a small, local, mom and pop restaurant. It is nicely decorated and has the right atmosphere for business meetings during the day and date night in the evenings. Parking is limited. Service is attentive and quick. The pizza is above average but I recommend going with the pasta dishes. The menu is small. The food is just as... More

We love Sal's. It's been the restaurant of choice for family get-togethers, casual dining, and definitely pick up after shopping trips in Indy! The garlic rolls are super-delicious! We love the baked ziti, too. The wait staff is very nice!

We had a large family group of adults and small children dine here and I have to say that this restaurant was very accommodating to our needs. I had reserved a spot for us a few days earlier, and called the day before to place our order of pizzas and salads. I had requested that dinner be on the table... More

My wife and I are both pizza lovers and are always looking for that special place we just "have to have"... still searching after visiting Sal's in Plainfield. The crust tasted great. Not a fan of the sauce or the cheese through. The cheese is what killed it in my opinion... tasted a little too commercial. Great service though and... More
