The food was decent and the decor was pretty cool. You could eat in a train car, but I wouldn't recommend it during the cold season.

My wife and just love to come here and have dinner. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are always excellent. The freshly battered onion rings were the best and the prime rib was outstanding. Couple the great food with eating on a train car and it's by by chain steakhouse for me.

Decades ago this place was tops - now it's a box/can/frozen food reheating establishment. Décor is aged - service is okay - just one big disappointment after another.

I don't know where to begin. The appetizer had hair and plastic. The meal was not fully cooked and took over an hour. They weren't busy. This is the far worst experience with my family I have had in years. The cramps on the ride home were unreal. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This is hands down the worst place we have eaten in 10 years. I don't usually write reviews but had to this time. Food was cold and tasted like it had been on the buffet for several days. Walked out hungry. And $40 less in out pocket.

I have been going to this establishment for many years and reviewed it in 2011 giving it a great rating. My wife and I just visited once again after an extended absence and although my steak (fillet) was very good my wife's prime rib was not. Not only that I feel the waitress was borderline rude. I felt that every... More

Went on a Thursday night with my husband and 5 year old son. We had no idea what to expect because the outside of the building (other than the railcars) is pretty plain and slightly ran down. But as soon as we walked in I was in love with the 1920s decor and music playing. My son was very intrigued... More

The Siding has been a Peru institution since the 1970s. Owner Ron Short has purchased several dining cards and put them next to a restaurant built like a railroad station. The food is just great, with steaks, chicken and seafood on the menu. Open for lunch and dinner, Ron offers a buffet for most meals, and an amazing Sunday brunch,... More

A buddy of mine has been telling me about this place for about a year. I'm a train enthusiast, and according to him, this would be paradise for me. I finally made my way there after calling ahead to inquire about their closing hours. The entrance to this place is beautiful with its air of historic elegance. Once I entered,... More

This is a family place but be sure you take well behaved children. They have the bathrooms filled with antique hats and gloves - it's beautiful. My girls love to try them on :) We also love to sit in the train cars. It's so neat. My husband and I had out first date here on Valentines Day 12 years... More
