This little restaurant is tucked away on Market Street in New Albany, Indiana in the up-and-coming-food district. Oh my what a gem!!! While you might look at the menu and say "Oh my, those prices are high!", you cannot put a value on the atmosphere and experience of this establishment!. My husband and daughter are lovers of French food. They... More

Sonya and I went Friday evening 7/25/2014. It is a nice setting in Downtown New Albany on Market Street very close to several other small ethnic restaurants. I wanted to try the Bouillabaisse but it was $42 and that is too much to lay out on your first trip to an unknown restaurant when it is Friday evening and it... More

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner. The menu had quite a few items to choose from. I ordered the special of the night which was they take on Chicken Cordon Bleu. Andy ordered the pork tenderloin. My dish consisted of pieces of chicken with a slice of ham and chicken mousse wrapped up inside. It... More

I am always reluctant to write review that rate a restaurant poorly. Even good restaurants can have a bad evening, as can cooks and waiters. But sometimes the experience is so bad that a poor review seems warranted. That is especially so in this case, since I perused TripAdvisor reviews for this restaurant and found most of them to be... We went for Mother's Day brunch, we had reservations, it was very busy. The food was excellent the atmosphere was delightful. There was a live guitarist playing mellow tunes at a reasonable volume that did not interfere w/ conversation at all. It was a great experience, we will be returning for sure.

While on business in the New Albany area our host had suggested Louis Le Francais for lunch. Walking into the place reminded me of the coziness I found in restaurants in the old town of Nice, France. The food was excellent and the host was excellent. The homemade soups were like home and portions where filling just enough to save... More

My family wanted to try Louis Le Francois for quite some time and we finally made it. We tried a drink that was a special for the week and it was delicious. My salmon with dill sauce was excellent. My husband had the beef bourguignon and thought it was good but a little too rich for his taste. Our daughter... More

Dinner with family at an excellent French restaurant, looking for cassolet, exceeded all expectations.Great food--escargots,mussels,duck,cassolet,beef bourguignon and delightful dessets. Very good wine list and some very tasty holiday drinks. Personable chef, hostess and staff, and warming ambience.Reminded me of dining in Paris. Just across the river, about 5 minutes from downtown Louisville. Can't wait to return.

I'm so impressed with my lunch today. I just got back from a France and maybe had slightly fancier food than at LLF, but not better prepared, and certainly not with more cordial wait staff, and at probably twice the price. Looking out onto New Albany's Market Street doesn't rival the view at Cassis, but it was just outstanding for... More
