The food is basically what you would cook at home. No extra frills or spices or surprises. Good, wholesome food - but a tad over priced for what it is. The place to go if you want a home cooked breakfast but don't want to crack the eggs yourself. Also, one of the FEW places in New Albany that actually... More

When we are in a new place and are looking for a great place to eat, we usually do one of two things. 1. As a local or 2. Look where there is a line of people waiting. Yesterday as we walked around New Albany looking for a place for lunch we found the line for "toast on market'. We... More

One of my family's favorite haunts in New Albany. We love the omelets & pancakes. The staff can sometimes be hit or miss with quality service, but the food never disappoints.

We asked a friend for advice for a "non typical chain breakfast place". He recommended Toast. Being from out of state we had a hard time finding it but it was worth it. All the meals were good and the bloody mary(s) were very good. Our waitress took her time and laid out events and places to go to for... More

After some hype and raves how good it was, I finally when for a try. Needless to say it was average at best. the breakfast menu is ok and the service is fair. The value for the food is poor and the the menu needs work to reflect the community.

I have been here twice now. And each time I am not happy with how long the wait is. They are also very crowded, why is more a mystery to me each time. The front half of the place is a bar, at which I have not seen anyone sit. Really a bar, for breakfast and brunch? I love a... More

Dined at Toast for brunch. I've been here several times but not recently. The menu hasn't changed and they were inflexible to substitute. That is one way to rack up the ala carte expenditures. In addition, many breakfast items don't include meat, so you're forced to either sub out your starch or add a protein. The breakfast sandwich is a... More

Tasty breakfast served in a hospitable, warm atmosphere. The latte's were to die for and the menu (though not deep) had something for everyone. If you want a Mimosa or Sangria instead of a latte, you've got it! The place was hoppin' and the wait staff was keeping up with smiles on their face. Nothing bad to say here. If... More

I thought about getting breakfast but I decided to get lunch. They have a lot of breakfast items on their menu as well as lunch. My husband got the gumbo and I got the pot roast panning sandwich. My husband liked the gumbo and I loved my sandwich. I also got potato salad. I would like to go back and... More

Toast is one small element of the nice revitalization of downtown New Albany, and offers a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. It took an inexplicably long time to get seated (with open tables that weren't being held for reservations, we waited 15-20 minutes), but food came pretty quickly. The server was polite but service was average at best.... More
