Good Meal in a Great Room

The Artist's Colony is an inn and restaurant in a large old house. The restaurant has that elegant rustic charm that Nashville pulls off so well. It is a large open room with wooden beams. A huge fireplace adorns one wall. The food includes more than just the Hoosier comfort food you would... read more

The food in general is nothing out of the ordinary. But I would recommend the sweet potato fries. The dining room is interesting as it looks very early American. The huge fireplace is a great addition on a cold winter's day.

This restaurant has one of the best breakfast buffets ever! Home cooked, delicious food at a very reasonable price! The staff and servers at the Artist's Colony have been nothing but friendly and helpful. As a visitor and now as a proud local I highly recommend the Artist's Colony for an overnight stay or just a meal.

The pumpkin bread is my favorite breakfast treat! Fabulous Christmas decorations in the main dining room around the holidays, too.

During a stay at the Cornerstone Inn, we walked the short distance to the Artist's Colony Restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere was warm and cozy on a frigid evening, and the food was very good. I ordered a bowl of creamy tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. The soup was delicious, and the bread on the sandwich was buttery... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner here during our stay in Brown County. Most of the menu is understandably catered toward Southern comfort food. My boyfriend was very happy with his meal of catfish and mashed potatoes, but I wasn't as satisfied. I got a steak because it was the only thing on the menu I thought I'd like. However,... More

My husband and I are locals and visited this restaurant last night. Took 25 mins to get seated even though there were many open tables. The "special" tonight, chicken cordon bleu, looked and tasted like a microwave dinner meant for a child. The baked onion soup was mostly melted cheese with some soggy croutons underneath it floating in broth. Even... More

My husband and I stayed at this inn for Thanksgiving and we made reservations several weeks in advance. We were scheduled for Thanksgiving dinner at 3pm. At 3pm we went into the restaurant and we were told to wait, even though there were several empty tables and no one else in line. After waiting several minutes we were shuffled into... More
