We've been to The Story Inn several times, and have had very good meals there. Most recently, we had dinner there last Friday night; I had the pork chops; my husband had the duck breast. We both enjoyed our dishes a lot. The Inn is set in a rural village, and is filled with antiques; they have a bed &... More

We have eaten here on several visits to Nashville and have always been pleased with the food and service. The only drawback has been the limited menu, with perhaps a half a dozen choices, but it appears that they emphasize quality over quantity. We will return despite the prices which are on the high side. This is a very unique... More

In the quaint village of Story, IN, founded in 1851 in Brown County is one of the best kept restaurant secrets. Visited on a Sunday afternoon with family from Greenwood. The whole town is made up of old houses which are now Bed & Breakfasts and all called The Story Inn. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, but be... More

Have been to Story Inn on several occasions, the food is always good, however, they do not have a large variety on the menu. The antiques are dusty and on one occasion, we were visited by a mouse. This is a very old structure so be aware of the basics.

About a half hour drive from Nashville (twisty road), the Story Inn restaurant is in a rustic general store setting. The food is fresh and service was great. The menu isn't huge, but everything sounded great. Prices are a little high, but nice for special occasions.

Still excited from our visit to Story Inn so will try to keep this brief as I could talk on and on about this place. First I called to make reservations for dinner as it recommends on their site. The gentleman was so courteous and acted like he had all day to answer my questions and added info that I... More

My best friend took me to the Story Inn for my 65th. birthday dinner last Sunday. We started with s loaf of warm, herb bread that was delicious. We each ordered soup...she the potato and I the roasted red pepper. Both were hot and very tasty. We both ordered the filet, which had a green pesto-like sauce on it accompanied... More

We stayed above the "general store" which is the restaurant, and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast - Soooo, this is a restaurant review! Dinner was just fine - nice potato soup and a good spring greens salad. The service is so conscientious and the decorations so fun to look at, that we didn't mind the longer than normal wait -... Terrible, terrible, terrible! Sauce tasted like ketchup! Took one bite & threw it away!! Would not recommend this place to anyone ever! Drinks were hot & flat. I just can't understand the good reviews about this place. It is very quaint place to visit, just don't try to have a decent meal here! I don't know if it was because... More
