Nashville House in downtown Nashville, In., has nice atmosphere and great location in the hub of activity in Nashville. The food was average, nothing particilarly bad and nothing outstanding. I was quite fond of the fried biscuits and apple butter, served with our lunch. Staff was very friendly.

Used to be a favorite of ours for years and years, and just was back in Indy for a short time. We made a special trip to go to the Nashville House. It's probably been 8 years or so since we ate here. It was a slow Monday early evening. Only 2 other tables occupied. The first thing we noticed... More

Food used to be great and servings very good. Today food was mediocre at best and almost no ham on sandwich, small bunch of potato chips, small serving of slaw, biscuits nothing special. The apple butter was the best thing. WAY OVER PRICED !

Food was excellent but be prepared to wait in line. While you are waiting in line, you can purchase their home made breads, pies, and etc. All the people that work there are from the town or are students from Bloomington making money for college.

We enjoyed that day's special of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and green beans. Delicious!

Its been at least 30 years since I was last at the Nashville House, but its not quite as good as I remember. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. The ham dinner was quite plentiful. But the side dishes (green beans and mashed potatoes and cole slaw) were unmemorable at the kindest. And even the fried biscuits and apple... More

Once a year or so, we have the chicken dinner at the Nashville House. So far, haven't tried anything else. Very good fried chicken. This time, the fried biscuits seemed smaller and didn't taste as good as I remember, but I still loved them. They brought no sugar added apple butter at my request. Another nice touch is the coleslaw... More

Their fried biscuits were still raw in the middle. The fried chicken tasted like they didnt even season it. Very over priced for the quality and amount you get. $14 was the cheapest meal I could find on the menu during lunch. Even the prices for the kids meals were ridiculous. For a regular priced dinner you're going to pay... More

If you have ate here before you will be let down. The food was average at best and the service was poor. The fried biscuits were still delicious but the rest was just overpriced, quality lacking food. The service was the worst. Very slow waitress even though it was a slow day. Had to raise hand and ask for a... More

Grabbed an early dinner here. Nice sit down atmosphere and decent prices. Server was very friendly, food excellent. The selection of items is outstanding and the amount of servings are fantastic. Highly recommend. Overall the food was great for the value. Never miss eating at Demos. No place has friendlier or more knowledgeable servers.
