My family and I visited the Nashville House after hearing about the wonderful biscuits and apple butter. They are good, but menu items are very expensive and not great. A member of our party asked if the sandwiches (in about the $13 price range) were hot, and the server said yes. It turns out that the ham was slightly heated... More

My husband and I had a wonderful, home cooked meal and the food was served fast which we learned is not always the case with restaurants in Nashville.

The biscuits with apple butter are an awesome combination. The service was very good and the food was good. A little pricey for the portions size but I guess given the nature of Nashville IN, that is to be expected. The coleslaw is unlike any I have ever had. It was not really bad, just different. Our little girl really... More

A little pricey but worth it for the rolls. We always purchase a dozen rolls to go. I have ham and mash potatoes. My wife had the egg salad which she liked ok but wasn't overwhelmed. They put mandarin oranges and gapes in it. The rolls with apple butter are to die for. The meals cost a lot for what... More

Very busy today especially on a beautiful sunny day on a Saturday in the prime of the Fall season so the long wait time is expected just as it was all around Nashville. But once we got inside and seated, there were many tables around us that were empty with many not cleaned off. This went on for the entire... More

Notoriety is a good thing for a classic establishment. This restaurant has been around for a long time. Back when travel books were how we got our information I remember reading a write up of this place in a guide of Indiana restaurants. We ventured to Brown County to take in the fall foliage. We decided to spend a little... More

My wife and I ordered from the fall lunch specials. I had the baked ham which came with mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, fried biscuits and baked apple butter. My wife had the fried chicken which consisted of a thigh and a leg and the same sides that I got. We then split a apple cobbler topped with ice cream.... More

We were told that our wait would be one hour. It ended up being two hours and 10 minutes. During that time the menu switched from the lunch menu to dinner. We were seated 10 minutes after lunch ended and even though we waited over two hours they would not let us order off the lunch menu. The food is... More

Nice restaurant with good menu, not cramped, plenty enough room to move around. We both ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was a generous portion and delicious.
