Bobby Knight & Sandwiches

When you go to this place in this little town don't expect anything fancy. However, you can expect a pleasant server and some "home style" selections. We chose lunch of pork tenderloin sandwich and a fried bologna sandwich because they are something you'd get in Indiana. The french fries served... read more

We stopped in here for lunch thinking we'd be able to get a deli-style sandwich and chips and/or soup. Not quite. There are sandwiches, but most of them are hot or fried. Nothing really light on the menu. But the atmosphere is neat. You walk down the stairs to enter, open the door and are blinded for a bit. The... More

After 43 years with the same owners and great waitress, Jeni, That Sandwich Place has seen so many families grow to have families of their own. They have patronized the restaurant and it is the place to visit. Sports pictures abound, with a Bob Knight theme, as Owner Larry Hawkins met and became friends with him over the years. The... More

One of the few restaurants that serve breakfast in Nashville. We didn't have to wait. Service was not overly friendly, just ok. There are limited menu options. Portions were good but food was just ok. The bill was around $20 for 2 breakfasts.

We were referred here by another restaurant that did NOT serve breakfast. This is located in the lower level and is decorated really cute with all IU basketball stuff! Not very big so at lunchtime during the fall the line trails outside so get there early for lunch. We had no wait at breakfast. All in all the breakfast was... More

We go to this place for a sandwich once in awhile if in Nashville for more than hour or so in the summer. Food is diner (burder & fries) fare, and OK. Owner really like Bob Knight and the interior is a shrine to Coach. Place has been in town for as long as I can remember. Overall, it's OK,... More

We had a delicious breakfast! Family friendly or for couples too. Not too many places were open for breakfast so we were glad to find this restaurant!

My wife and I were in town for our anniversary and were looking for breakfast before heading home. There are surprisingly few places downtown that serve breakfast on a Sunday.... This was what we were stuck with unless we wanted to wait in line in the cold elsewhere. We have a baby and had her in her stroller. When we... More

Both my and my wife's sandwiches were awful. The grilled chicken was overdone on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The breaded tenderloin was a very thin pork fritter. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating is because of the waitress who was very good about refilling our highly overpriced soft drinks ($2.35 each). When... More

We love going there and eating breakfast after church and sometimes when all the family is in town we go there for a good old family get together, we're treated like family there!!! The sad thing is sometimes we'd visit friends who are in town for they're pets appointment at Bean Blossom Animal Clinic but the State of Indiana is... More
