home cooking!

We were in Nashville for a short day trip from Bloomington and enjoyed lunch in this fun, quirky little cafe. The homemade soups were very tasty as were the sandwiches. The staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed looking around at all the unique furnishings in the place. I can't compare it... read more

I loved the atmosphere & charm of the "old" location ~ missed the walk there, the quirky writings that were always on the blackboard ...the lavender lemonade, the miss-matched tables, the cozy and homey feeling :( I'm so sad it's gone ...

The food is wonderful, tables and seating is 80's rustic and sometimes there's a local musician or two to liven things up. I cannot praise the food enough, especially the great Mac and cheese!!!

Cool place, they recently merged with Pine Wood Tavern but the menu didn't change. Amazing coffee and good food, and friendly staff.

This place used to be located in town and has always been known for a good breakfast! They have now relocated to the Pine Room Tavern and it still offer a pretty good breakfast! The prices are very reasonable and the folks working there extremely nice.

Seems our friendly Muddy Boots outgrew their old location. Now they're in a strip behind Mcdonald's, south of town. I miss the quirky grandma decor but the Pine Tavern is very nice. There's room for live music. Most importantly the food is outstanding. Best tenderloin anywhere.

This is a very cute place...a place much loved by many locals...except this local...and a number of others ...we will keep them annonymous. The service is usually pretty good but the food is often served Luke warm or near cold. The menu is limited. I have found many of the bakery goods dry and overbaked. Would like to see this... More

Breakfast was excellent. Food was fresh prepared. The cook time wait was rewarded with an excellent meal. The atmosphere is a small town local restaurant. Big round table with a group of local retired men having their morning coffee and catch-up time. The waiter treated us like we were neighbors stopping in for a meal. The coffee just kept coming.... There is always some local talent playing in the evening and you instantly are embraced by the community. The food is great and reasonably priced. There are no strangers here.

I came here alone while my husband slept in. My server was very friendly and prompt with coffee. I wasn't really a fan of the coffee. It was watered down and not very strong. I ordered the biscuit sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon. I ordered extra crispy bacon and was very happy to see that is what I got!... More
