One of the nicer dinners in Muncie

We have dined here numerous times and have always had delicious foods presented at our table. The variety is relatively wide, the wine list is excellent and the mixed drinks are prepared with spirit. This is not a good place to take children unless they are adventurous eaters; the atmosphere is... read more

A special occasion for "NEWCOMERS" & this restaurant was highly recommended by many locals. Location, facility, atmosphere & waiters were EXCELLENT. The salads & soups were GREAT !! I got the wrong meal, as described by the menu & waiter, but was told it was correct. The meats were less than average, tough, dry, or not done. Maybe it was... More

Had a really nice time last year at a party hosted for my Uncle Jim at Vera Mae's last year. The staff put on a very nice spread for us and the atmosphere was fun. Nice party room and plenty of room for all of us.

This is Muncie's finest restaurant. Nice lunch and dinner menus with special events and menus periodically. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. It is the place to celebrate special occasions as well as meet friends for lunch or an evening of dining. Service is excellent. It feels like a big city restaurant because it has... More

The food here is mostly American. This is Muncie's snob appeal restaurant, and honestly their food is pretty good. My favorite is their crab cake on pretzel roll and their lobster bisque soup. I highly recommend them for lunch. Dinner is way overpriced.

Vera Mae's is the gold standard for restaurants in our community. Last evening was no different but possibly upped the ante a bit more. I had the chef's grouper, an evening special. Tender, flavorful and delightful. It was accompanied by asparagus and roasted potatoes. I generally skip potatoes, but these were well-prepared, not under or over done. The house cab... More

Folks, I've eaten and will continue to eat here many times over the years Kent & Steve have had this wonderful place. This ISN'T typical Muncie fare and that's a good thing! If you want your $9.95 entree, you have MANY chain restaurants that can give you that experience. If you want good food, served well... Well, it takes time... More

This place has great character but that is about it. The food was just ehhh. It is WAY OVERPRICED for Muncie Indiana. I had the Chicken breast with Brie and Raspberry reduction. The chicken was not tender as it should have been and was not impressive at all for $19. The mashed potatoes were Fantastic but the asparagus was awful... More

I was here last night for a conference but I'm anxious to take hubby there. Very elegant table settings and the service was great. There were a variety of hors d' oeuvres and dining options throughout our table but all were very well presented and the filet was the best i've had in a very long time. A tucked away... More

A relatively new Muncie icon. Has survived for many years and through several fits and starts at downtown revitalization. I have eaten here, always to great delight, on a handful of occasions over the years. Located in a historic type building with very high copper type ceilings (maybe original) it is filled with antique atmosphere and a small but ornate... More
