This is a fun little restaurant. We are always looking for a good fish place. This restaurant sits right next to the Oakdale Dam, which makes Lake Freeman, just outside Monticello. They have a very impressive selection of draft beers, especially for a small mom and pop restaurant. I ordered their fried catfish fillet dinner with waffle fries and their... More

We were staying at the Indiana Beach Resort and were looking for a nice restaurant in the area and that is when we found the Oakdale Dam Inn. On our way to the inn I was getting worried that it might not exist but all of a sudden there it was! The fried catfish is delicious and they give you... More

The restaurant is tricky to find but the walleye dinner is worth the trip. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a little place by the dam. The service was good and we did not have to wait long for a table. If you are visiting Lake Freeman, this is really a good place to eat.

My meal was really good, food was fresh. Service was prompt and efficient, but not the least bit friendly. Our server seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, but took care of our needs nonetheless. The bartender was excellent.

Food is standard bar food. Definitely delicious, but not gourmet. Their beer selection is GREAT for a hole-in-the-wall joint in the middle of Indiana. I especially love their house infused vodkas. Definitely worth the drive!

While out driving last year on fathers day we came across this place. My father is a HUGE fan of true catfish with the bones dinner which is hard to find. So we stopped in and had a great meal. Great service, great food and a nice place to check out. It is so nice I am taking him back... More

This is a good spot for seafood and a good view. I haven't been overly happy with the service most times I've been there, but it's pretty good for a small area.

Our whole family Loves this restaurant. They keep the menu varied enough to please everyone yet limited to a point that makes each dish perfectly executed. The bar is cozy and inviting with several unique beers on tap and a full bar with a bartender that is out of this world! I would highly recommend Oakdale Dam to anyone.

The owner of this dive is as rude as any I have ever encountered. She has no clue of the term hospitality. The overall experience was a very unpleasant one. I will never again visit this dirty dump and it's abusive owners. The food is over priced and the atmosphere is down right hostile. Save your money for better spots... More

We’d heard a lot about the Oakdale Dam Inn but never visited before. So my wife & I visited Saturday (6/8) around 6 p.m. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but very easy to find—nestled up against the Oakdale Dam (what a great view from their lot & building; plus you can hear the ROAR of the water!). It... More
