One of our regular eateries for the past 7 years. By far the best catfish I have ever had. But not the only thing on the menu! We have tried just about everything on the menu over the years and have several favorites besides the catfish. The grilled pork loin wrapped in bacon is delicious! They have a great little... More

That is their moto...advertising jingle...slogan, whatever you want to call it. We must admit we agree with it. It sits high above the Oakdale dam. You can peer out to look at the water gushing out of the dam and the swirling Tippecanoe River raging away. There are usually fishermen standing a short distance downstream (our son caught a 50... This is a fun little restaurant. We are always looking for a good fish place. This restaurant sits right next to the Oakdale Dam, which makes Lake Freeman, just outside Monticello. They have a very impressive selection of draft beers, especially for a small mom and pop restaurant. I ordered their fried catfish fillet dinner with waffle fries and their... More

We were staying at the Indiana Beach Resort and were looking for a nice restaurant in the area and that is when we found the Oakdale Dam Inn. On our way to the inn I was getting worried that it might not exist but all of a sudden there it was! The fried catfish is delicious and they give you... More

The restaurant is tricky to find but the walleye dinner is worth the trip. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a little place by the dam. The service was good and we did not have to wait long for a table. If you are visiting Lake Freeman, this is really a good place to eat.

My meal was really good, food was fresh. Service was prompt and efficient, but not the least bit friendly. Our server seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, but took care of our needs nonetheless. The bartender was excellent.

Food is standard bar food. Definitely delicious, but not gourmet. Their beer selection is GREAT for a hole-in-the-wall joint in the middle of Indiana. I especially love their house infused vodkas. Definitely worth the drive!

While out driving last year on fathers day we came across this place. My father is a HUGE fan of true catfish with the bones dinner which is hard to find. So we stopped in and had a great meal. Great service, great food and a nice place to check out. It is so nice I am taking him back... More

This is a good spot for seafood and a good view. I haven't been overly happy with the service most times I've been there, but it's pretty good for a small area.

Our whole family Loves this restaurant. They keep the menu varied enough to please everyone yet limited to a point that makes each dish perfectly executed. The bar is cozy and inviting with several unique beers on tap and a full bar with a bartender that is out of this world! I would highly recommend Oakdale Dam to anyone.
