A group of 24 took the dinner/cruise on July 18th..along with what I assume was about 100 + other people who paid $70 each for this evening...our 24 were the last to go to the buffet table as we were directed and we were left with no chicken and no mashed potatoes.. We had boiled shrimp with no sauce and... More

Our weekend luncheon party of 7 people joined a full dining room this Sunday. Adjacent dining rooms and the outdoor deck were all busy. Food service was on the slow side, which I would have attributed to the crowd, until I read other Trip Advisor reviews and realized this is a trouble spot. With a little one in our party,... More

Waited 40 min to be seated. No one else waiting and 4-6 tables open? Idk. Ordered potato skins. Dry, tasteless. Bacon was undercooked on skins. Ordered cordon bleu. It was a Piece of ham with cheese on it, sitting on top a piece of chicken breast. It was over cooked, dry and breading was so hard I couldn't chew it.... More

I live in Indianapolis and we drive up for dinner the last time we were in it took 45 minutes to get a drink from the bar. I would like to have had a manager at least stop by and apologize for the slow service the restaurant was not that busy. Luckily the food was delicious like always.

We live in Monticello and have few options in dining out. We go to The Sportsman once or twice a month. Lunches are normally good with decent service, but dinners are a coin toss. You may order the same dish at separate visits and have two totally different results. We stick to the same one or two menu items that... More

The wait was entirely too long. The service was below average, again with the waiting to refill our drinks and for our app to come. The food is average as well, about the same thing you would get anywhere else. The only thing they have going for them is the view, which is nice but I would much rather prefer... More

I've already been 3 times and really enjoy this place. Have had the fish, pork chops and wings. You can't beat their fish or the pork chops. Both are excellent. Wings were a disappointment. Service has been very good. Nice location on the river and only a few miles out of town. Try coming on a Thursday night after 7:00PM... More

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. The place closed down and a few owners later, we are back to the great quality food I grew up with. The fish and house chips are my favorite. . Please not the chips are actual homemade chips not fries like in Europe. They are especially good dipped in... More

As local residents this is where we go for a nice dinner out. Great views of the lake, good food with several specialties, some value menu meals under $10 that won't disappoint you, and good service.
