Lovely view

Our first visit came in with mixed reviews. The blue cheese dressing was great! The creamy coleslaw was nice, cottage cheese was watery(?). The lake perch was good, needed some seasoning. The frog legs were old and rubbery and quite tasteless. Thinking that a steak or tenderloin is more likely... read more

Riversides food was delicious! The mushrooms are marinated in red wine and really very tasty. We enjoyed an unusual appetizer- deep fried gizzards. They were quite good as well. My meal was a Filet which was grilled to perfection. The meal ended with a signature Woody. The Woody was actually the best part of the meal. It is an ice... More

This place would have been a five star locale for us if we could take our kids here occasionally. We enjoy the bar and the locals there are friendly. The view of the river that this restaurant sits on is unsurpassed in Monticello. A table inside or outside allows you to watch the river flow by almost at what seems... More

Very good food for the prices.. It was our 48th anniversary, they where friendly with good service. Our waitress took our pictures for us.. We live 30 miles away, but will be going back again. It is a no one under 21 bar-restaurant .

Good food, sadly we did not get the river view table we had made reservations for. Our large group was seated in the bar, which was loud.

The signature fish is terrific. Fried is best. Ask for malt vinegar with it. The catfish is also very good.

Yes, I know its a bar. There was nothing special about it at all. The food was not great, a cheeseburger from Burger King is far better. The cheese sticks were still frozen how hard is it to fry some cheese sticks? Skip the food and stick with the drinks.

We made our first visit to Riverside last week with friends who live in Monticello and recommended it. We started by sharing some appetizers - sautéed portabella mushrooms and fried banana peppers. Two people ordered the special - huge stuffed peppers. I had a pork chop (loved that applesauce was offered as one of the sides) and DH had a... More

Filet and scallops special the steak was tender but somehow the bacon was still raw. The scallops were big, but the were lost in a sea of melted butter. And I tried the butterfly smelt. Nicely fried, but an acquired taste.
