I always enjoy coming to the Essenhaus for their broasted chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. Tonight I had the steamed cabbage for my second side and it was excellent as well. A piece of chocolate pecan pie with coffee was a fine finish to the meal. My only suggestion would be to serve the broasted chicken with a cream... More

HUGE buffet with great, fresh food. I personally would recommend ordering the buffet rather than off the menu, but to each their own. The whole village is nice with many places to walk around and shop once you have over eaten. The adjacent bakery sells most of the products that they serve in the restaurant which is nice. Love coming... More

We stopped in for breakfast while we were waiting on a motorcoach repair at the nearby Jayco Factory. The egg sandwich on English muffinbread was enjoyed by my friend and my English muffinbread and Apple Butter was quite tasty. Coffee refills were constant. Our server went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Before leaving, we walked through... More

Sat down for lunch today. The food is very good here and tastes homemade but the service was lacking. Server was fine but the seating crew needed work. Had to tell three different people how many were in our party and they were confused where to seat us. Other than that it was good.

Dinner was pleasant with plenty of room around our table. The majority of the table ate their family style dinner. My daughter ate off the buffet. This is a recent change. It used to be that you would be seated in separate areas depending on if you were buffet, menu, or family style. Now everyone can get what they want.... More

Best Amish Food We have found! True Amish food. Restaurant open 6 days and closed on Sunday in the true Amish tradition. The food was excellent with large servings and homemade breads. Do not miss the fantastic homemade pies and deserts. Be sure to check the bakery where they also have jelly, jams and other treats.

Have been here several times and have not been disappointed yet. If your looking for good old country dining and shop after dinner for that little bit of country decor.... This is the place. It has two way to eat - menu dining or family style (for larger parties) Servers have always been fast and efficient. Food is always good.... More

Stopped for lunch. It is a buffet style eatery. Salad bar area was very good. Breasted chicken is their specialty. Loved the freshness of the choices. Dessert is extra unless you like pudding. Fresh baked bread is brought upon request. Try the homemade peanut butter, good but unusual. Part of a whole complex including a gift shop, bakery, etc.
