We love Schoop's! The breakfast and burgers are great. It is like a 1950's restaurant and our service has always been good. We have been too the Portage, Valpo, and Michigan City Schoop's and they are all god.

Great restaurant, clean, good food and excellent service! I even changed my mind and decided I wanted pancakes instead of an omelet, after already placing my order. The waitress was friendly and happy to oblige and the pancakes were delicious.

We were passing through and our stomachs were talking very loudly about how their need have been ignored for way too long. Using the app on the phone I started to review the area for a place to eat. I found way too many places blow 3 stars and though we would have to settle for some big box chain.... More

Stopped here in a whim. Can't say that Michigan City left much to be desired but this diner was pretty cute. Burgers were huge and very good. My tuna melt tasted a but off but the cole slaw was excellent. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Decent place.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We wanted burgers, fries and shakes and were treated to some of the best we've had. Order the Irish Nachos, they are great!

We came here with friends, We would never have come here if not for them suggesting we go there for burgers. The portions are huge and the onion rings are fabulous. We even went there again on our own. The hamburgers are hand patted and quite tasty. If you are looking for a good burger, come here.

This diner offers more than a great fried burger made to order. It offers a step back to the good old days with the posters and decor! The French fries taste fresh and not greasy. The patty melt was served on grilled sour dough bread with just the right amount of dressing and kraut. Onion rings were large sweet onions... More

After driving hours and waiting for a nice place to stop and get some lunch we settled on a burger restaurant (connected to a hotel). We were seated and given menus. After 18 minutes and not one person coming back to bring us water or anything, we left. Fortunately for us we were still hankering for a hamburger. Not familiar... More
