I've been here twice. The first trip I had the filet mignon, and it was good, but they kept bringing me gin and coke when I ordered gin and sprite. Friday I went for my work party and the prime rib was so tough it was hard to cut with a steak knife. And they didn't serve any au jous.... More

Galveston pretty much has the best Black Bean soup around or pretty much anywhere I have tried. Great value - lots of food for a reasonable amount of money. Soup or salad, warm bread all included plus a generous portion of food. And Dawn, the waitress is a sweetheart! We have had the steaks there, shrimp, chicken and chops -... More

Ate here a couple days ago with friends. Once again (we visit once a year) food was great. The ribeye cooked medium rare just perfect! Staff was a bit shorthanded that night but a great meal made that easier to handle.

Very disappointed with our dinner. Went on a Wednesday for the special "all you can eat perch". Overheard the waitress at the next table explaining to them that you could get the first order sauteed but any reorders would be fried. They asked why, she explained that sauteed was time consuming and that was their policy. My husband ordered the... More

We were camping and new to the area, and read great reviews about this restaurant. The service was awesome, and Jeanine our server steered me in the right direction with my food order. I was very pleased with my perch sandwich, as was my husband with his mushroom burger! We were going to go across the street to Swingbelly's because... More

The character and atmosphere of this restaurant is outstanding. It is easy to find and rather secluded from traffic. We went here, it was open for lunch, arriving at the end of the lunch service. The wait staff were welcoming even though we were the only ones there.

Was they on July 29, 2014, wrote review on steak knives being dull, went again today, and they had brand new steak knives. Didn't have the poppers, but, I would bet they went back to "original red raspberry sauce. Great Job on listening to customers!

Ate here twice on recent visit to MC. Disappointed in lake perch on first visit (can't compare to perch at Swingbelly's across the street) but lobster bisque surprisingly good and baked potato done perfectly. On second visit started out with drinks on the patio. Super server Richard let us take our time, "Texas Twister" appetizer good (nothing like fried food... More

Stopped on a Tuesday evening not aware of the two for $22 on Tuesday. There were 4 of us. The wait was maybe 10 minutes tops. The choice of entrees was wonderful. The food and service was awesome. The bread was delicious. Dessert was to be shared but they brought us each our own. Will definitely return and highly recommend... More

Our Server (Jeanine) was awesome!!! Food was not as good as I remember (haven’t been in a couple years). For a “Steakhouse,” one would think the “steak knives” would be sharp (the butter knife was sharper). And, the most disappointing, the “Panhandler Poppers” sauce is now a disappointing strawberry concoction.
